I don't disagree with Mikey about the style match up. Mikey says Crawford would be 'running' around the gym where as Spence will meet him in the middle of the ring. I hate when people say fighters are runners that is just another way of saying this person style will trump mine. Of course there is a such thing as excessive movement but really if someone is moving without being effective you will win easily if you just land a few shots on them. Mikey knows Crawford would be very difficult for him because he would box his head off and tbh Errol would stop Mikey. Im fed of this guy calling people out then fighting in mismatches, fight the winner of Loma vs Linares or go for a unification. Thoughts?
I enjoy watching both as different as they are,I think Crawford learned after his Postal fight to be more aggressive
He has more of an excuse for losing to Spence. Not so much with Crawford. What he's doing is underestimating both fighters.
Yeah he should of stepped on the gas tank and got him out of there, but it was a masterclass in boxing and Postol was utterly clueless.
Lol No need for an article, If you dont want to fight Bud because he moves well, then of course he doesnt fancy a fight with Loma who moves even better than Crawford Thats what he s saying But bring on Garcia vs Spence, good matchup, I'd even buy it if I have to
Mikey won't beat either one, but he definitely stands a better chance with Craw. Spence will put Mikey in an early grave.
I mean, from explaining why he doesn't want to fight Crawford — it's obvious now why Garcia is avoiding Lomachenko. Garcia understands that he will lose that fight as well! He understands that Loma won't be able to KO him, but he knows that Lomachenko will win, most probably.
It’s on box***sce**. You might also find it on Kevin Iole’s site. He basically states that he’d rather fight Spence because Spence would be willing to fight, whereas Crawford would use his advantages of height and reach to move around and outbox him(Mikey). He says that outright. Mikey lost to Bud in the ams and doesn’t appear to want to avenge the loss or doesn’t believe he has a good chance to do it. He basically admits that Bud would most likely win but that he’d fight negatively in doing so.
