Gamboa is obviously not the brightest guy in the room. He should have fought the Rios fight instead of burning bridges. Floyd was a bad influence on him and got him thinking he was bigger than he really was. Leaving Arum for Fiddy f*cked up his career badly.

Now I'm reading that he wants as much money as Garcia in the fight and pricing himself out. He should take the smaller money and make more in the rematch...and yes, there will be a rematch if he wins and it'll be lucrative. But Gamboa is an idiot and think only in the short term.

arum had no use for gamboa and would have robbed him against rios like he did abril, lets not forget and abril boxed the head of rios and clearly took 12 rounds to nil and still walked away with an L. if he stayed with arum he was ****ed, he just left for the wrong guy, i'm sure with the right advisor he would have got all the fights he wanted.

i dont think he priced himself out of the garcia fight, HBO offered him so much money to take the fight and he accepted, mikey garcia was pissed that HBO were offering gamboa more than they were giving him, thats got nothing to do with gamboa, thats between mikey and HBO.
