Mikey did show some vulnerability against Salido the pressure seemed to be getting to him late in the fight and he wanted no parts of fighting with a broken nose, and we all know Juanma will go out on his shield.

If he could some how manage the upset. it's a short road back to the top of the food chain......and big fights

but Mikey is too skilled and has great D

I have to give Lopez credit for taking this fight, but damn. I'm not excited about it due to the weight situation, though. How often does it ever work out when the underdog is the one having to punish himself in terms of weight?

Wow. Much bigger of a test than I figured JuanMa would take at this time.

Mikey should take this by mid round stoppage. This will give him great exposure, too. Very smart move by the Garcia camp.

Side note: I briefly met Mikey at the Rios/Alvarado card. He was milling around with the fans along the walkway. Very cool guy, lots of smiles and appreciative of the fans who recognized him and said hi.

Lopez is currently the eventing favourite due to his previous antics of gambling accusations and stoppage record (in both wins and losses)

He's till a huge draw in PR and makes TV friendly fights. He could get slightly less cash for softer touches and prolong his relevancy.

Money's definitely a factor here, but his total earnings over the next couple years could more than make up for this payday.

Juanma shouldn't do this to himself.
Unless he wants to collect big and retire.

Juanma winning is like winning the Powerball.

Just like the odds of Rigondeux winning against Donaire.

You guys are actually "complaining" about the fight?

"Juanma is stupid", "Juanma is this and that", "Bad decision"

It's an amazing fight and you guys are complaining... that's why we can't have nice things.
