Mikey Garcia might very well be one of the best finishers in boxing right now. He can really sense when he hurts his opponent, he's patient, don't go out crazy and keeps targeting the body before going in for the kill. Very seasoned & smart fighter. He's in line for the winner of the main event and will be a champ very soon. Very disciplined and humble guy. What's not to like??!
:huh This thread has nothing to do with the Showtime main event. It's specifically about the co-feature. ...and Concepcion isn't Mexican. He's Filipino. ...and Garcia isn't Puerto Rican. He's Mexican (American). So...how is all that stuff about the ref and the judge relevant to this? I mean, leaving alone that there's no way scoring or officiating will even come into play as far as the outcome here is concerned. :yep
Bernabe WAS a good prospect back then. Juanma's TKO over Bernabe was the punctuation mark for Abe. Garcia UD or late TKO, but I'll be cheering for Bernabe fosho.
At least...I think so. Garcia vs. Farenas was the WBO eliminator, with the winner meant to face whoever came out of the rematch in the main event. Concepcion as a replacement is obviously rated lower than Farenas, so it might not still technically be an eliminator...but Garcia is ranked highly enough that, really, how many more jumps would they make him jump through if he knocks out Farenas' replacement in style? :think
