Two of the hottest prospects in boxing, both in the 126 pound division. Who wins and how would it play out??? I think it would be a good fight. I could see Russell winning the first couple rounds with his speed and quikness. Then Garcia realizes Garry can not hurt him. Russell is a talented boxer BUT is a come-forward fighter and I could see him being too agressive against a big puncher in Garcia. Garcia would time him with a right hand, stunning and possibly dropping GR Jr. From their on Garcia would pressure Russell Jr who by now is in a defensive shell. Garcia would finish him off in round 9. Just how I think the fight would play out. Who would win??

Mikey by KO!!! Mikey is to big for him has the patience and the punching power to put him out down the stretch. The only positive possible outcome for Russell is to outwork Mikey who is a little bit less active and to win a controversial decision.

I know Russel is no huge puncher but imo he has more power than most of peoples thinks...I saw some peoples here saying he was like Mallignagi which is absurd...But I noticed in yesterday's fight than from the sixth round he seemed to run a bit out of gaz and was punching with less snap than in the previous rounds...

I see Russel winning this one by close UD...But really a toss-up fight...If Rusell's chin holds on he wins.

Garcia via KO. He is patient, strong, and technical enough to anticipate Russell's speed.

russell by ud but it'll be a great fight and there's definetly a good chance for a garcia ko from a counterpunch since russell is so busy he leaves room for the occasional counter and garcia's smart and patient. hard to ick but i think if russell stays on his feet he wins by UD from outworking mikey

Contrary to what some may think. I actually think Garcia has the ability to adjust better than Russell. Mentally, Garcia is superior to Russell.

russell. not a good matchup for mikey garcia. garcia's got great fundamentals just like russell but i think you can frustrate him with angles and movement. he's seems to like to come straight forward. maybe he can do more but he hasn't had to yet because of his level of opponents.

I see Russell looking spectacular early and often in this match-up. The only thing that prevents me from making a prediction on the result is the fact that Russell has only been fighting 8 rounders, so no-one knows what kind of staminia he has in rounds 9-12. Now, with that being said, with the speed, technique, defense and accuracy that Russell has, for anyone to belive that Garcia will just blow right though Russell Jr....is hilarious. In fact, When Garcia defeated Cornelius Locke by TKO11, Garcia was trailing on one of the judges scorecard (if I remember it correctly), and Locke was only a decent southpaw with no-where near the skill, technique, precision and defense that russell has. Just something to think about.

That's the only thing his ability to go the 12. If he can go 12. I pick him to beat Garcia by late rnd TKO.It looked to me he was throwing so many fast punches that hurt Miranda but couldn't stop him.I think, he might need to pace himself. There's all sorts of things he can do. Versatility is the word for that. He should BOX and move not just stand his ground. He was trying to be a puncher and he has good power. To be honest he is not going to KO everyone he fights so....apart from that he's the superior athlete. He can smash Garcia any time he wants because of his SPEED.But he must not act like a PUNCHER that is looking for a KNOCK OUT. UMMM...I know he wanted to make a statement against Miranda and that's OK.

Mikey's power makes the difference here. He'll do more damage, thus impressing the judges more.

I see a competitive but decisive UD for Garcia.
