Matchroom at worst can promise him Brook, Khan, Vargas then Taylor and Hooker if he wants to go down and Campbell and Haney of he wants to go further. Plus they have shown they can work with top rank for a potential loma fight. all winnable fights for Mikey for big paydays which increase his brand. matchroom will use the Mikey name to them attempt to lure Broner, Thurman, Porter away and build a welterweight division of their own.
Taylor has yet to sign with matchroom he’s going to work with all promoters, Broner has already turned down matchroom plus already fought mikey. None of the guys you named are champions at 147 none of them are as big a pay day as pac. it’s not a career move it’s a money move but the spence fight was a cash out anyway so I’m not suprised if he does sign with matchroom but spin it how you want it can’t be argued that pbc has the top welters at the minute.
