I would also jump up right now to fight [Keith] Thurman, and then come down to 40 and then 135 again,” said Garcia to Fighthype.com. ”I’ll fight [Thurman] right now. Let’s get him. Let’s start calling out for Thurman. Let’s get him at 47; I’ll fight him at 47 in July. How about that? I’ll do it.”

Well the kid is a special talent and if some of his power can come up with him....doesn't even need to be devastating. He is so sharp I wouldn't write him off. Greats of the past have made this leap.

I'll never bet against him.....unless he goes totally Loco lol.

of course Mickey Garcia believes in himself. When people were saying Dejuan was going to be too much for him do you think he listened??
Mikey Garcia is a underrated assassin, Thurman is probably too big but Garcia has gotten this far believing in himself.

I doubt it'll be something he actively follows up to be honest

Wonder why he isn't talking about fighting Crawford? That seems to be the most logical fight for him.

Mickey seems to be on a roll lately, calling out everybody near his weight class. I have no issues with trash talk as long as it ends up with BIG fights happening.
But truly he should have at least stick with cleaning up lightweight first. A linares showdown and a possible Loma looking up would be great.
