So it looks like Bob Arum has pulled the plug on the Garcia-Gamboa fight from happening on May 17th.

But just when you get ready to wish bad things happening to him, Arum is trying to make Garcia vs Uchiyama for May or June in Macau, which i personally think is a much better fight.

It's a fight between the Number 1 and Number 2 Super Feathweights and would also crown a new Ring Champion. This is a real boxing fans match-up and the winner would almost be assured of a Top 10 P4P spot.

    Who wins?

    Takashi Uchiyama - 21 wins(17 KO's) - No Losses and 1 Draw.

    Mike Garcia - 34 wins(28 KO's) - No Losses and No Draws.

Who lands first...Both have suspect chins and both have huge power...Very hard to call but i go with Garcia who is younger and a bit faster IMO.

Uchiyama isn't quite the same dominant force he was 18 months+ ago, I hate saying it. I'd pick Mikey to win here but Uchiyama is the #1 for a reason...

    This is better than Garcia-Gamboa.

Garcia rises off the canvas and scores a late TKO.

    I think the complete opposite.

I think Garcia dominates early and scores a knockdown as well but Uchiyama's strength comes through later on and i think he'll knockout Garcia in the second half of the fight.

    Uchiyama by 10th TKO.

    That's a great action fight, I can't believe HBO's not interested.

Would this be the same card as Donaire's fight?

Yeah i think the one on May 31st in Macau featuring Donaire-Vetyeka.

If that's the case that card would be stacked and actually be one of Top Ranks best cards for years.

I know they want to do 2-3 Macau cards this summer and that Rigo was supposed to be one as well. Biggest hurdle with HBO might be the time zone difference.

Whats a duck? Gamboa hasn't done anything decent in boxing since 2011, it's now 2014.

Dropping Gamboa to fight a tougher more relevant fighter like Uchiyama? hardly a duck!

Arum: "What, 50 cent singing songs? It's not happening"

Seems like 50 wanted to do another one of his concerts and arum shut that down. What a deal breaker. :-(
