Really looking forward to this fight, does Mikey see something in Spence that he can expose? Maybe. We'll see but I'm with Mikey on this one as he obviously dares to to be great.

    Just no.

Spence is going to break him down. Garcia doesn't like too much pressure. He likes it when he controls he pace and Spence isn't going to fight in a pace that allows Garcia to be comfortable.

Spence is going to bring it early. Lipinets found openings for his left hands and right to the body. Spence is going exploit those openings and hurt Garcia early, as early as the first 3 rounds.

Its a totally doable fight for Mikey. Its not like Mikey is climbing two weight divisions to take on an established welterweight champion that's cemented his place in boxing history.

I agree with the dude who said he had it 50-50, but if a lot of my money was on it and at stake, I'd slightly favor Spence. Garcia is going to shock and surprise a lot of people with his performance -- win or lose, and regardless of whether he wins or loses, hes gonna fight his balls off and cement himself the greatest evwnt win in history, even if Spence beats him.

My favorite current 5 fighters right now(in no order): Errol Spence Jr., Terence Crawford, Mikey Garcia, Vasyl Lomachenko, Deontay Wilder. So I'm in no way dhape or form throwing any shade at Spence, I'm a huge fan of both he and Mikey. But Mikey should have earned way more people's respect for going for this fight, one of the few truly elite boxers today willing to go up a weight class or two and challenge an absolute monster of the class, and doing it in quiet but respectful confidence and peoving to the boxing world he has the biggest stones -- by far -- in boxing. He's gonna Vince McMahaon swagger his way to the ring, his massive balls dragging across the floor, hopping the rope and willingly and knowingly getting into a no **** balls out firefight with a certified killer. Man, just thinking about it makes me proud.

Slight lean toward Spence because of size and physical attributes. Spence is being underrated by a lot of members on this board.
Love mikey garcia but this will be quite the task.
This is a good matchup and no blow out eitherway.

Not only is Spence going to win, but if Robert doesn't have that towel in his hand ready, Mikey is going to get obilterated by Spence. Spence is all kinds of wrong for Mikey.

One thing that most people are overlooking is Spence's workrate. How do you tame a guy with a better workrate? You either throw something at him to make you respect your power, or you tie him up make it ugly, right? Now do you guys realistically expect Mikey to try and stand with Spence long enough to land a big punch or even try to tie him up. Does Mikey possess a monster punch. No, Mikey is going to be running for dear life once Spence starts walking him down. Spence isn't just a headhunter, he is a bodysnatcher too. Spence is gonna be trying to light up that body from early. Little Mikey is going to feel those shots. Remember Mikey isn't a true counterpuncher - his best attribute is his ability to control the range. But Mikey is gonna be thrown out of his element because he is going to have to throw punches to keep Spence off him. We all know that Mikey is a low volume puncher, so if he ain#t throwing at Spence to slow him down, then he is gonna be straight running.

Mikey is gonna be overwhelmed and executed very quickly in there, I would hope that Robert is prepared to do his job properly and protect his fighter when it's time to.

It’s easy to pick Garcia, as if he loses, you won’t look dumb, and if he wins you’ll look like a genius...IF you give a thorough and concise reason as to why and how you think he’ll win.

that makes no sense. why would anybody side with the underdog if the only time you look like you know wtf youre talking about, is when you pick the favorite. how about whoever picks the correct outcome, is the one who knew enough to see it pre fight. wouldnt that work better?
ive seen plenty of analysis on why mikey is going to make a great fight, or even win, in various threads.

The Garcia says Spence is basis but the basis is what KO this fool, a basis KO is what's going to happen. This man doesn't need to change anything, this is what got him here. And besides Garcia doesn't have a high work rate like Spence. Spence will win, either way, decision or KO.
