Great skill set but seems to lack the heart/will/killer instinct that his kind of style requires... that being said he should handle Beltran with ease but he better stear clear of Gamboa, John, Juanma, Salido, Caballero...all fighters with heart and determination that will make Mikey fold.

great talent and skill but his heart isn't with the sport. He didn't choose boxing, boxing chose him.

wow I think you guys are being a little harsh. I don't think you will ever pull a Vic Ortiz and flat out quit in a fight. He might not fight with the same intensity as a Pacquiao but I don't see where its an issue. Hes not like Dawson who does enough to win. He goes for the kill... I'm pretty confident he would beat Salido. Gamboa/JuanMa I don't think hes ready for them yet BUT in a year or so he will be

I don't buy the whole boxing found him story. you obviously have to love the sport to dedicate as much timeand insanely hard work to it as it takes to become a highly rated pro boxer. I just don't see the killer instinct in the guy that someone with his style needs to be successful. I see someone like Salido being to much man for him.
