decent technician, very patient, decent speed and good power. Seems to be improving with every fight. He's been trying to get a fight against Caballero, but it fell apart when the Panamanian said he would only fight against him in Panama. He is a kid to keep an eye out for.
:good One of my favourite up'n'comers. To OP, check out his last performance against Concepcion. Broke him down systematically. My only gripe is that he's been really inactive this year. Only had one fight which seemed like aaaages ago.
Closest thing there is to JMM right now. He has great balance, footwork, power, speed, technique. Combination punching is very good which is why I compare him to JMM. Punches very fluid and all with power behind them.He is basically the perfect fighter. Only downside to him is similar to JMMs earlier in his career. He is too patient and minimizes the risk as much as possible which is frowned upon in the Mexican community. Future top p4p fighter for sure. I would love to see him take on Broner. Salido-Garcia would be the ultimate test for him as Salido weeds out the great from the average champions.
Looks like Salido Vs. Garcia is next, or a possible double header with both of them on the same bill? Either way... Salido could be dangerous for Mikey.
Pretty spot on. He is the Truth IMO. He's still growing so I can actually see him meeting Broner down the line. Mikey is a nightmare for anyone. I hope he gets his shot at the big time soon. He deserves it.
+ OMG!!! Two Mexican Warriors Great Corssroads fight for Salido, and for Mikey possible elevating... This content is protected
Saul made a decent post but I wouldn't agree with 'the perfect fighter', there's more to a fighter than just technique and fundamentals, and anyway I think Garcia is maybe slightly cumbersome and occasionally tries to overthink what he's doing and doesn't press enough. His inactivity is annoying aswell. Still he's a solid fighter with a bright future.
He's like a better and more powerful version of his brother. A lot more patient though. He could become a HOF imo, but the only thing that worries me is his love for the game. He doesn't seem to have that much hunger for boxing. It seems like he's just doing it because he's from a boxing family.
What impresses me the most about him is his patience. He seems very calm, very cool under pressure and that's a hard thing to teach such a young fighter.
