He is a four weight champion and always looks fantastic but has he really fought anyone. what do you make of his resume?
No, he hasn't really fought anyone and until he does we are hard put to really define his abilities. He looks good, but we won't know for sure until he fights a live opponent. Commey up next so we will have to wait a wee while yet, it seems.
He's fought some household names but nobody in great form; in their prime, so to speak. I like Garcia and his CV is good but he hasn't fought a genuine elite fighter and until he does he won't get the respect that he deserves.
I like him as well but I just think he's hailed as one of the best fighters in the game without a stellar name on his record in nearly 40 fights.
I agree completely mate. A great example of this is Marciano. Marciano retired as the HW champion 49-0 (43KO) with victories over Louis, Walcott x2, La Starza x2 and Moore (all great fighters) but doesn't get the due respect because they were all considered past their peak when he defeated them.

Ducked Linares and Loma, only to talk mad smack. Tomato(e)Can has a thread on the ridiculous amount of people Mikey has called out, but not fought. But i am still hopeful that we will get Mikey and Loma in the ring next year.
very limited. in the era of Broner getting 4 also. These two guys winning 4 takes away from Hearns,Duran,Leonard and Whitaker and others who won titles legit.
I'm always surprised by the notion that Mikey hasn't faced anyone. The dude has a deep resume. He is an elite top notch boxer of today, based on accomplishments.
Hmm... Mikey who? Oh. You mean the guy who: -Should have faced Terence Crawford (before Bud moved up after getting tired of waiting for him) -Should have faced Errol Spence Jr next (after calling Spence out several times and using the guy's name for publicity) -Should definitely be fighting Vasyl Lomachenko (after this next "mandatory" fight has concluded) I think "Mikey" (aka Miguel)... is being quite carefully matched. They're trying to coast on the back of what they believe to be a built-in Mexican fanbase for him. Every single time an interesting fight with this guy is proposed, it doesn't happen. I'm not sold on him being an A-side P4P member just yet. Gonna wait until he's faced Loma... if that fight actually happens next.
I actually quite rate his resume, I think Easter and Broner are good wins. Especially the way he dispatched them and considering he was outsized in both. Salido, Juanma, Lipinets are pretty good wins as well. The former especially looks quite good now in retrospect. Then some solid guys like Martinez, Burgos etc.. He does lack that stand out elite p4p win but he's not a "hasn't fought anyone yet", he just hasn't faced the very top of the echelon opponent.
Crawford was there for Mikey to fight and nothing but crickets from him AND his manager during those 2+ years. He knows his lack of hand speed and foot speed would haunt him against Crawford.
I come here to the forum and I find this thread, and read: "He is a four weight champion" "but has he really fought anyone?" Honestly, I must be idiot, I dont like the other options.
