Mikey was 149 in the ring for his last fight, against Easter down at 135, Spence was 156 for his last fight, up at 147. Vic Conte says their target weight for this fight for Mikey is 155 but Serge reckons he'll be about 152 and Spence who has come in as high as 162 before but that was an over the welter limit fight where he weighed in at 149 the day before, will weigh anything between 156-160. He might come in at 156 again for this one so he can try and match Mikey for speed.

If what Conte says is true about their target weight and Mikey 2.0 aka Kangaroo Jack or according to the LDBC juiced to high heaven Balco Mikey (strange how Ward, Jacobs, Boo Boo, and Haney aren't 100% certified juicers when they enlist the services of Conte, eh? Crickets from the LDBC regarding all of them), and Spence comes in as low as he did last time, there could be as little as 1lb separating them. However, I don't think this scenario is very likely and I expect the difference to be about 8lbs and an absolute maximum of 10lbs.

Mikey has always walked around at 152 154, the diff is he won't have to lose much this time & he will have more muscle to help him compete.

So if Mikey came in at 149 for his last fight which was down at 135, and he's been working hard down at the SNAC gym to gain weight and mass and get stronger, then it obviously suggests that he's going to come in heavier for this fight than he did in his last one.

Mikey says he has all the tools at his disposal to beat Spence: ''I got all the tools. I got the speed, I got the reflexes, I got the defence, I have the footwork, timing, you name it I have it. And the strength and the size? We're still yet to find out''

I hope Mikey comes in at around 143-145, I think he's gotta mantain a little bit of foot speed hell need to give Spence angles. Coming in at the maximum weight in a division he's never been in against one of the most physical fighters in boxing today, could turn out to be a disaster for mikey.

Th fact that Pac was able to defeat major names (Cotto, Hatton etc) who, on fight night, outweighed him by 10-20 lbs or more is astonishing.

Same goes for Floyd, who also fought at or about the weight limit against guys who rehydrated and outweighed him by a good margin.

I'm not so sure about that. Shane was a big welter and Floyd didn't look much smaller. Now look at Pacquiao-Mosley. Mosley is much bigger than Pacquiao. There is a reason why Floyd refuses to disclose fight night weights.

No Floyd was coming in at that kind of weight for most of his fights.

that is absolutely ridiculous. floyd was 15 lbs heavier in the ring than canelo, besides all the other advantages he already had, and people still pretend that victory meant anything. thats the problem with floyds whole career, when you really read the small print, he is not the fighter his hard cores think he is.
