    lol That's why he gets zero respect from real fighting men, same goes for every other 'fighter' that refuses to sign on the dotted line unless they have all the advantages and the deck is heavily stacked in their favour.

    I know that fighters cut weight during fight week, but those guys tend to be regulars at the weight. Since Mikey is moving up in weight, I was just surprised that he's needing to cut any weight.

    Because he has never fought (in a real professional boxing fight) at his walk around weight! When he was fighting at 126, he wasn't 126 between the fights, when he was fighting at 130 his walk around weight wasn't 130. Maybe the situation was closer in those three superlightweight fights, but still not enough, I think.
    So, now it's gonna be something completely new for him — he will be fighting at a weight category where his walk around weight is very close to than nominal weight division value. And we simply don't know how Mikey's body will react (yes, you can try testing that in sparrings, for example, but a real full distance fight is very different to a sparring). On top of that there will be a huge guy (how heavy will Spence be in the ring? 160?) in front of him that night.
