Mikey leaving 135... Without fighting Loma/Linares/Easter... SMH

The callouts are ridiculous. He's calling out top WWs, top LWs,
the top P4P guy, then isn't even cleaning out his own divisions.

It's one thing to call a guy out but he literally has never fought the top
guy in any division he's campaigned at. His hubris is unwarranted.

 

I will never buy a fighter being 'scared' of lomachenko.

He may box your head off for 12 rounds, but he's not a dangerous puncher.

Maybe he feels he can step up before lomachenko and get the bigger fights there currently before he does.

Chicano, Mikey doesn’t have to stay at 135. I think 140 is his best weight.

 

Mikey imo would be starving trying to make 135.

 

He is living off the momentum he built in 2013...
Then for years people kept talking about his wasted potential for greatness. And now here he is, with every opportunity at his door and hes not doing anything.
In my eyes he is a fraud.

And i think the media i going to start calling him out on all this b.s.

Linares and Easter are waaaaaaay more accomplished.

 

There is some truth to this. Mikey was huuuge at 126 and 130. He had to cut a lot of weight. Makes sense that years later its hard to make 135.
But in his own words: "135 is my best weight"

We all knew Mikey was not going back down to 135.
You just don't do that after a year at a new weight and 2 straight training camps at 140.

 

lame I liked mikey when he came back.. but hes losing my interest and making me start to dislike him with the choices he keeps making... I hope baranchyk lands a haymaker and ko's him by luck.. would be justice for mikey seeming to avoid every real fighter lately.

It’s more fear of being absolutely embarrassed and being schooled, especially for undefeated fighter like mikey.

 

It’s clear to me this guy is ducking Loma now. All he had to do is wait till Loma fight Linares and he takes on the winner.
