i love this fight. this would put so many things into perspective. the next 3 years could be very lucrative for mikey if he gets back down to 140 for a few years. lots of big fights and lasting legacy to be had.

Now this is the fight that could really sell how good Taylor is, and for Mikey to become the Im undisputed champ at 140, he would be able to make that Pac fight happen down there a lot easier too.

Why is he chasing the big boys at WW? He should have always been at 140.

Everbody wants Taylor now. Josh should be patient and only sign for the big money fights.

Hard to know what Mikey has left.

he would be king there. he left because nobody there could pay him 5 million. taylor could pay him 5 million. so can teo, within 2 years, and same with ryan, should he sort out his personal troubles. i have a feeling tank wont want any mikey smoke after finding out what an extra 10 lbs being thrown around with skill can do. hope im wrong and he can hang, it just adds to the mix.

Mikey always wants to throw his name in the mix for any big fight without putting in the work. Reminds me a lot of Amir Khan.

:duh No!!!! **** NO!! This is what is wrong with boxing!! Taylor is in his prime or nearly so. He should be fighting alot building his legacy and trying to BE GREAT. Not just post about it on the internet! The money will come if he achieves greatness!! :BangHead::bash:

As to this fight, MG is probably just talking **** like he always does. He'll fight the ghost of Nate Campbell next and claim to be making history. :ohno

He fought Spence did he not? And he would have fought Pac had that fight not fallen through.

I think Mikey is undersized at WW, he would struggle with any of the top 5.

Although Taylor is a big guy himself, Mikey vs Taylor at 140 is a very good fight.

Has Garcia camp given any indication of how Mikey and Ramirez sparring sessions looked?

Mikey too busy chasing big fights that don’t happen.

He should have entered that 140 tournament. If he came out on top, he would be huge by now. And tbh, undisputed belt still carries a lot of weight. If he’s undisputed at 140, he could command any fight he wants.

Taylor is undisputed but he’s lacking the name recognition, Mikey meanwhile was already considered p4p elite.

He didn't fight Spence. He got paid for it though. Other than that he just talks **** and takes easy fights once in awhile.

Exactly what i said. Reminds me so much of Amir Khan wasting his prime by taking lesser fights so he can keep a winning streak and get picked as an opponent for Mayweather or Pacquiao. Meanwhile Maidana was having tough exciting fights and made himself marketable to be an opponent for Floyd.

Mikey fought around Loma didn’t take the Linares fight when Golden Boy offered it, waited for the 140 belts to be vacant and cherry pick Lipinets. Didn’t wanna fight Danny Garcia at 147, don’t wanna fight Regis and many more. Instead of building a legacy he’ll just get led on for a big fight that won’t happen because “the business isn’t right”. Instead his next opponent will be is Josesito Lopez or Abel Ramos.

garcia made 7 million in his last fight vs vargas. who could have promised him that type of money when he was downat 140, or there now? he could fight danny garcia and make more than that now. or thurman, or ennis. i think what taylor can offer, in order for him to also make his biggest purse ever, plus what the title of undisputed would add to his legacy, plus the prospect of future fights with names willing to move up for a crack at the crown, makes the fight a good move. for mikey, anyway.

Taylor mugs him. Garcia proved he ain't the man, bitching out against Spence.
