Taylor, Wright and Miranda are ideal opponents next for Kessler or Roy Jones Jr, Pavlik, Dawson in the future.

 

If Kessler wants his next fight to be an emlimination bout then he needs a big HBO fight. All the santioning bodies care about is money. The bigger the purse, the more money for them. I would bet, a fight with Miranda or Taylor here in the USA would turn out to have some title implications. There is no way all 4 santioning bodies dont jump on this type of big money fight!

 

Well in his country at least and a good guy nonetheless.

I fought 21 amie fights after college and thought about turing pro but was told to avoid boxing altogether because of the politics.

I don't regret it-and hell I wasn't good enough anyway!

I do wish boxing would become more transparent it's not the promoters per say that srew the fights it's the rankings and no clear line to belts for young fighters (Pavlik fought 2 WBC Middleweight Title Eliminators Jermain Taylor never fought 1).

I like Kessler, but the article comes off a bit whiney imo.
I'll agree that he's been let down by the WBA as he should be the WBA champ and not Mundine, or at the very least be his mandatory, but saying guys like Bute, Lacy, ect let him down is a bit too much.

Also, Calzaghe doesn't need to rematch him as he was the clear winner in their fight. 2 of the judges had it a 4 point margin while the other judge had it even more a margin to Joe. Not too dissimilar scores to the Mundine/Kessler fight, and did Kessler give Mundine a 2nd chance after failure? No, nor should he had.

When Joe vacates, Mundine will become the full WBA champ, and vacant championship fights will be made for the WBO, and WBC titles. Kessler should be able to get a fight under his belt now that should enable him to fight for one of the two belts. It'd stink if this wasn't the case.

 

I'd like to give a belt to anyone who more than skimmed that drivel.

Kessler lost a fight to Calzaghe but held a good account of himself.
Right away people myself included were looking foward to this guy making some good fights. Its now months later and well somehow that hasnt materialized. Then an article on how no one will fight him, meanwhile Miranda is calling or trying to make a fight with him and its rejected supposedly by Kessler himself. Miranda vs Kessler would be an exciting fight. Well whats your problem with this?
