Can Kessler beat any of the SMW world champions, and if so who?

So. Sauerland are having a big press conference tomorrow, and many danish medias are sure, that Mikkel Kessler are announcing his comeback. The rumours are that he will have a warm up fight in june, and then anticipate in the new world super boxing series if he can get a wild card.

I am now quite sure what to think. I guess a lot of questions will be answered in a warm up fight, if he still got something left. His last fight was against Carl Froch in 2013 in which he lost. He is 38 now, and when he boxed Froch the 2nd time his best days seemed to be behind him.

Any thoughts on his comeback. I just made a poll, feel free to vote.

I really hope this isn't true. Kessler was a top operator in his day and would absolutely rule the roost at 168 today if he were around.

He has nothing left to prove. All that can come from this is that he loses to a bunch of fighters he would have schooled in his prime.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. A warm up fight in June to see, if he still has something left. Hopefully a decent opponent. After that we'll see, if he has anything to do in the new boxing tournament.

He struggled with many serious injuries late in his career. A career threatening eye injury and some nasty back injuries. Maybe his body needed a long layoff. I want to believe he can make one last run in the division, but i doubt it. Just exited to see him back, then time will show, if he got something left at all.

For some reason I would still like to see a fight between Kessler and Bute. Two past prime but decent boxers that could put on a good scrap.
