Dawson has a better chance at making the HOF than Kessler.

If he retired tomorrow, the answer would in my oppinion be no.
For me it would require 1 of 2 things before retirement in lets say 3 years.
    1. Move to LHW and as minimum win a belt and make a few good defences.
    2. Stay at 168 and unify or at least partly unify.

"Hall of Fame" is a misnomer. The criteria for induction into the IBHOF (as a fighter) are just the boxer’s achievements in the ring as a professional. The voting criteria doesn't include "fame", sportsmanship, character, extra-curricular activity, unfulfilled talent or any other factors.

In practice, voters apply their own criteria, and are partial to fighters they are more familiar with (you could consider this a weighting for "fame", as a more famous fighter is more likely to be well-known to the voters). The Hall is full of anomalies; aside from the obvious heavyweight aberrations, you have guys like Laszlo Papp based on his greatness as an amateur and what he could have achieved as a pro. The Hall itself though doesn't hold itself out like that, and it should be strictly based on which fighters achieved more in the ring.

He might be the Greatest Scandinavian Boxers thou. Ingo had single better win and that hw trophy compared to Mikkel but Kessler is the better fighter. I dont know hard to compare.

Three time World champion. Fight all the best win some lose some.
Kessler really tried to be the best and that is what matters the most.:deal:good

He is probably not a hall of famer..
But iron chinned warrior Mikkel Kessler deserves credit for having fought the best and never quitting while fighting through adversity

Would have to rank Kessler behind Bat Nelson and Kid Williams, but it gets thin on the ground after that.

Leaving Patterson to one side, Ingo's demolition of Machen is arguably on a par with any of Kessler's wins, although Kessler has had more longevity and consistency.
