And these are the 4 guys he'd have beaten for a title

    Beyer
    Siaca
    Sartisan
    Froch

If you combined all 4 of these guys, you might actually have a decent boxer.

I wonder how many box tops I could send in off of kellog cereal boxes for my own SMW strap.

Beyer was ranked pretty highly by the ring when Kessler beat him by round 3 knockout, Siaca too. Kessler defended his first strap against Mundine in Australia. Mundine was also ranked pretty high by the ring at the time. Defended against Andrade before his fight with Calzaghe. Andrade was unbeaten at the time.

What is your point really? Kessler ducked no one and fought the best opposition available at the time.

MW still hurting over fact your boy LOST to froch, so if kessler does beat froch does that mean kessler>froch>dirretll? falling further down the pecking order:)
Joking aside tho i think Froch will shock people, this fight is perfect for both him and kessler style wise. Guaranteed it will be by far the most enjoyable fight to watch so far in the tournement.

In summation, its not Kesslers fault the SMW divison is ****.

Now does that change the fact that his best win, is probably Andrade? And yet he'll be 4 time champion. Do we even consider Sartisan and Siaca above journeymen level fighters?

And if he wins another title after that he can pull a Booker T and yell out "FIVE TIMES!"

  9. Did you really just add 'Just might be a decent boxer' and 'is going to be a 4 world champion' in the same post?

  10. Kessler is a good fighter. Quit dragging him down because of the opposition he's faced in the past. He signed up to fight nothing but top guys when he agreed to do the S6T... And IMHO he'll be the first to beat Froch in a great fight.

There are 4 belts per division. World Champion does not have the same connotation that it did 40 years ago you dig? Or did you just start following boxing yesterday?

Nikolai Valuev was technically "heavyweight champion of the world" get it?

Technically the first to beat Froch. If the fight was in Nottingham I'd fear for Kesslers safety. Froch would put him in a rear naked choke and win on points.

You don't know where Sartison will end his career. I think he's an ok fighter just above journeyman level. As for Siaca I tend to agree with you.
I think that Mundine and Beyer was better wins than Andrade. Kessler had a good performance against Calzaghe even though he lost. In my book Calzaghe won that fight by no more than 2 rounds. You saying that the SMW division is **** and hence Kessler is **** is a **** argument. What it really comes down to is that you don't rate Kessler and never will for some bizarre reason.

    Cotto could possibly be a 4 time champ across 3 division after June 5th. Look at the guys he would've beat to gain that distinction;

    Kelson Pinto
    Carlos Quintana
    Michael Jennings
    Yuri Foreman

Kessler's list is probably more impressive.

  15. Touche, my point still stands however... 4 belts are 4 world titles. He is more than a decent fighter.
