Froch is slow and sluggish but he honestly has as much skill as Kessler... Froch can actually change up his style believe it or not.. he doesn't just always try and make it a fight... look at the Abraham fight... Kessler actually fights the same robotic way every time.. Kessler has a by far greater jab then Froch, and uses greater spacing, and has the better footwork I would say.. but Froch can adapt to MOST fighters he's faced not named Ward... or at least muscle out the victory.. and of course.. his resume is waaayy better than Kessler's whose only really good win is against--- Froch (in a very very close fight that I too gave to Kessler).. the point is Froch can be seen as the better fighter by many people in so many different ways... I honestly think Froch is the best fighter Ward faced.. because I felt Dawson was to an extent weight-drained.. and Kessler was actually past his best believe it or not.. he had an injured eye and has never really been teh same Kessler.. I think Froch stands as the best win... but hey if Kessler and Froch fought again.. maybe Kessler would win again.. maybe.. but I'd bet on FROCH

Also, there is not one thing Kessler does better than Dawson outside putting pressure on opposing fighters.. Dawson's jab is superior (which says a lot because Kessler can jab) and if you don't believe it.. past fights Dawson has had, he won pretty much with the jab.. he keeps such good distance and space from his opponents with it.. he uses his height very well with that weapon and throws an occasional hook in the mix.. and his jab is so much faster than Kessler's who can't even extend his past his chest at times it seems...

Then when you look at other punches, Dawson can throw the uppercut great for a tall guy.... he moves faster.. he has better defense... way faster combinations... maybe even more explosive punches.. not the harder puncher per say.. but throws some explosive shots because of his speed.... man.. I can't say Kessler is anywehre near as good as Dawson (resume included)....

So to say he is the best Ward has faced is dumb.... I see Froch giving Dawson and Calzaghe a tougher fight than Kessler could and did..... my opinion

Kessler is an ELITE 168 lber, one of the best in the last 10 years.

Froch is also an ELITE 168 lber.....

Ward has schooled two elite 168 boxers and an elite 175 boxer....

    He DESERVES his recognition :deal

Kessler is a better boxer than Froch. Kessler won by UD. There was no split decision.

And the Kessler Froch fought had seen better days.

Froch goes on his power and granite chin. Take away them qualities and what is left of him.

Not much. He got one judge on his side.

    115-113 | 116-112 | judge: 117-111

Ok going in the super six Mikkel Kessler was the big favourite to win.

So when Ward got hold of him it was a big win regardless if he was injured.

If you think Froch is a better boxer than Kessler that's shocking indeed.

The Kessler he fought was not anywhere near the Kessler who fought Calzaghe. Kessler is still a beast now but he's seen better days.

I hope he comes back in a big way and rematches Froch down the line.

Don't be bias to your countrymen.

Kessler has more textbook boxing skills but Froch is a better tactician and can actually adapt in the ring, better boxing brain. Also Froch actually isn't as slow as people think, he can put in some sneaky, quick right hands when he tightens his game up, but he rarely does it, prefering to throw wide unorthodox shots.

The problem is sometimes the red mist descends and he starts fighting like an ape.

I think he'd win a rematch as the first fight was pretty much the best of Kessler and worst of Froch and it was still damn close

Andre Ward fought a guy a worn out Miranda hurt in sparring. And Miranda really should be fighting around the 160s. When Ward fought him at 168 only two months previously he was fighting at light heavyweight.

He fought a corpse at 168. If Ward dismantled him at 175 i would say he did well. Even though Dawson is overrated.

The thing is, in the internet age, people always get carried away.

A fighter gets a few good, not great wins, and all of a sudden they are "special" and will be a P4P guy for years to come, nobody can beat them.

it's just the way it is and take it with a pinch of salt.

Ward has fought no great variety of styles, time will tell if he's a "great" or if he's just a guy who looks fantastic against tough but basic guys like Kessler and Froch

I doubt Ward has the guts to return the favour and rematch Kessler in Denmark.

Froch is probably the best he fought...however if Kessler beats him...then you're right
