I think they are close, Kessler will be judged on what he does in the tournament, he has a platform to go far ahead of Pavlik if he does well. It's a strange time to compare them, there is a lot of water to pass under the bridge I think.
i got to role with pavlik kesslers next opponet is 16-2 i was looking at his profile on boxrec i see two names i reconised joe cal we know what happen their and then librado andrade kessler won a ud. their were a few others with decent records but pavlik has beaten and knocked out world champions.
Neither career is anywhere near over. I'd bank on both guys to be fondly remembered by future historians. As of right now I'd go with Kessler. He's older, has more total fights, unified titles in seperate fights, et. Pavlik beat the man who beat THE MAN, but then kind of fell off. Mikkel will probably win this tourney, and be on top of the world.
Well so far,I have 2 say Pavlik, cuz hes been in the ring wit better fighters, and has actually beaten a top fighter in Jermain Taylor 2x and even knocked him out And Kessler till this day doesnt hold a victory ova any elite fighter, but lets see if he proves me wrong in the tournament...His first matchup is against undefeated Andre Ward,Lets see if hes really good like everyone claims he is....Cuz so far im a doubter
Yep, this is the time to judge him. And if he loses close to Ward in his hometown don't rule him out. I know Ward is going to be his toughest fight, but Froch is getting it in round 2.
Pavlik has been fighting real fighters. Kessler ducked Edison miranda to fight a guy they pulled from the seats.
