Mikkel Kessler refused Lucian's Bute contract for a fight

    I think it makes logic, that Bute wasn't invited. With six fighters there had to be three americans. That would ensure, that there would be at least one american in the semis. So Showtime would want that. Sauerland (who got the idea for the tournament) would want both Abraham and Kessler in the tournament, which leaves only one spot left. It was more logical to have the last fighter based in UK, than Canada. First of all it is a major tv-market (US, Germany and UK are the three main boxing markets in the world), second there would be more fights in Europe, which would make it easier to sell to tv-networks in these parts of the world. Also at the time of the beginning of the tournament, Sauerland still held an option on Lucian Bute. They would have to forfeit that one, if Bute should join the tournament. So from a business point of view it seems logical, that Bute wasn't invited.

    Bute travelling to Nottingham for half the $ he could've made in Canada make Saurland and Kessler look bad; they could have probably convinced Bute to come to Denmark only for 1 mill $, 1 and a half mill $.
    From the moment Bute steps in the ring with Froch i will officially take Kessler's peanut claim as a blatant duck.
