Joe and Wards speed/sharpness is what took kessler off as it took his main weapeon his jab out of it, and speed is something Froch doesn't have.
Tactics...? So Froch is developing completely new sides to himself as a boxer? :nut I think it's gonna be a very tough match. Luckily, Froch is not exactly a Calzaghe nor a Ward, but he is extremely rugged and has the mental strength that Kessler might lack. Looking forward to seeing the fight!
No! I just listen to what Froch is saying. And he is talking about well prepared tactics. Ones tailor made for Kessler. I merely suggest that Froch learned one or two things from watching Kessler-Joe C and Kessler-Ward. The question is whether Froch can follow a tactics with discipline throughout a fight. The Froch-Dirrell fight convinced me that Froch can do that. It is no easy job to stay in there with a runner the caliber of Dirrell. Although it was an awful fight to watch Froch did a nice job doing exactly that. Also, Froch can throw punches from odd angles. Doing the latter and by emulating some of the mixing of inside/outside fighting I believe Froch can create some nasty problems for Kessler.
It's Froch's type of fight, and Kessler seems like the kind of guy he can just trade with all night and impose his streangth on, but it'll be close and I reckon if it goes the distance Kessler gets the nod.
Man, Kalle saurland looks like a young Mr. Burns. Creepy in that picture, and the fact that he doesn't blink twice adds to the macabre.
He doesn't look that sharp, but as long as he has a few drops left in the tank he should iron Froch out.
i think froch would get bored with a "chess war." all he knows how to do is go forward and block punches with his face. kessler will take by decision. imo, froch is a sucker for 1-2 combos and lacks in the speed department. also, kessler has something to prove.
Sadly, no. The man is a gladiator. As a Kessler fan, a loss here (or looking really, really bad and confirming suspicions that he's just physically/mentally depleted) is scary because it effectively turns him into a gatekeeper - someone who will never be relegated to complete obscurity but will be on the outside looking in of the elite/title picture (this means lots of humiliating televised beatings from hot young prospects looking to step up against a "name"). He won't quit when the opportunities dissipate. You won't convince him that he's permanently out of contention. He just seems one of those guys. :verysad
