Basically as a Kessler fan this is going to be one of those fights for me that I just can't wait until it's over, against an opponent that is really boring to watch and tries to talk trash like Carl Froch but fails to deliver and just drains the energy of the fights he's in IMO Kessler got nothing to win except proving that he is still a formidable fighter. I expect him to beat Green and look sharp. So the question is: Is this fight meaningful in any way to Kessler other than shaking off ring rust and proving he's back? Will a brutal KO impress... thoughts?
You're gonna have to pay around $80 for it though. Vilket skämt.. Kessler är inte den boxare han en gång var.
I think this is just a relatively easy fight for mikkel to settle in the LHW division. Plus picking up some bogus belt in the process, to get a shot at a real title pretty fast. It's not a fight to look forward to, but it isn't a completely meaningless fight also.
It sucks.. 80 dollars for that? I think that Kessler still has something left, but he isn't the same Kessler we saw in 05-07
Well, you get Erik Skoglund and Patrick Nielsen on the undercard! Its not PPV-material by any stretch of the imagination, the great danish people are getting screwed with this deal. I hope nobody buys the fight to show their disgust.
If Kessler brutally KO's Green, I'll be impressed. . . Green doesn't have an iron chin, but he's not been stopped but by Johnson with that mean overhand right of his. . . Miranda couldn't stop him, but hte fact htat Miranda outpointed him over 10 rounds might be even worse for Green. . . Green is still an upper-echelon type journeyman fighter . . . He's not completely shot. . And his punch will always give him a chance. If Kessler takes a lot of punishment from Green, even in a winning effort, he should hang 'em up, or carefully match himself up against guys with no power. . . If he goes out there, and does what he should do - blitzkrieg him in 5-8 rounds - and his beautiful, destructive 1-2 is back, then he's ready for the best at 175. . . He needs to straighten out that overhand right, though. . . He's got one of the best 1-2's in the game when on point. 1-2 - WORKS LIKE A CHARM!
:rofl Actually, the comic relief is that in all the hype and articles written about the fight, this "title" haven't been mentioned at all And if it's been mentioned it's like a commercial - sponsered by WBC silver girdle etc. People know the title is crap.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of casual fans in demark, who basically are just "die hard Kess fans", can't distinguish it from another title. . . But I hope Kessler isn't paying Jose SLIMYman, and the WBC a % of the revenue from this fight. . .
Agreed. The chin on allan green though and how it takes Kesslers punch at 175 is one of the only interesting points in this fight. I just can't see Kessler losing this with the chin he showed against Froch and in other bouts, unless he has completely slipped since then I think it was a smart move by Sauerland to move him up in weight. Many good winable fights for him if he has his old self back
