yes another one: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjmR_Gxdr3w[/ame] ward can't punch for ****! ward by ko.
Kessler by late stoppage. Ward is talented but his punches won't slow down or intimidate Kessler and he doesn't have Calzaghe's non - stop punching. Kessler is a good boxer - puncher, physically and mentally strong, no glaring weaknesses that would be easy to exploit. He can be beaten, but it would take exceptional attributes to beat him, like Clazaghe's package of speed, workrate and chin. I favor Kessler to win the tournament but if someone beats him, it would be Abraham because of his concussive power.
I think Ward's power is underrated and he's quite talented and athletic. Kessler has been around- a world champion in every year since 2004, with only a brief Calzaghe intermission. A lot of good experience that Ward doesn't have at the pro level. Kessler is a very solid total package. Skilled, can punch, good chin, experience. But it's still experience VS natural talent and hunger. I think this is a good toss-up. I love this tournament.
Former WBA, WBC champion now WBA champion. Beat everyone put in front of him convincingly untill he got defeated by Calzaghe. How is Kessler overrated? Please explain...
Then Why dosnt ward have any of these belts, if its clearly like you say, "bums" that cary the belts... ???
I didn't say 'bums' carry belts. Ward is in a different time period to when Kessler won his belts and he got an easy shot back at the WBA. Kessler hasn' beaten anyone nearly up to the standard of the super 6 contenders, so people saying he will win and some even saying he will win with ease isn't right.
I suspect you to be a pretty new boxing fan. If not, you would know that Kessler wins were meaningful at the time he got them. Kessler's tenth best win may be better than Ward's first and only one. That being said, Ward has his chances but they are, IMO, fairly thin.
When i mentioned Kessler winning in my last comment I meant winning the whole tournament, not the Ward fight.
Most likely Kessler, Ward isn't experienced enough to take this at this stage in my opinion. I'll be very shocked if he pulls it off. Like the Direll fight, Ward will have his moments but will most likely be beaten due to inexperience. Of course as we all know Direll was robbed even though Carl "The British IMPROVED Sugar Ray Leonard and Sugar Ray Robinson COMBINED" Froch was allowed to apply WWE tactics as they are a part of the rules ONLY for the British fighter if you fight there. The opposition gets points deducted for not taking punches behind the head properly and for getting body slammed, how to counter that you ask?, the nearest pub might have the answer.
