Any version of Hopkins from the past 20 years would beat Kessler.

Kessler is made for prime Hopkins. Seriously, i'm a ****ing massive Kessler fan and he's a great fighter, but he has no inside game whatsoever and Hopkins would know this. B-Hop mauls him on the inside and wins an ugly one-sided fight.

 

Nowadays... Kessler will definately win. Twenty years ago... Hopkins.

All of these guys had fast hands and excellent shot variation. It's the variation in offence that Hopkins struggles with - give him orthodox, predictable guys like Kessler, Pavlik, Trinidad and Hopkins has a field day

froch and kessler are the best of the rest, and in the real world of world champions (which boxing takes liberties with because of all the federations), they are both bona fide gatekeepers
