mid or late March, after announcing his fight in Romania, he said he's going straight back to Canada and start preparations; i think he sparred with Diaconu preparring him for Dawson but they kept it a secret; before Diaconu - Dawson he made some declarations in the press, that Diaconu is going to have problems with Dawson because he is having problems adapting tall southpaws; besides, with who could Diaconu had have sparred for Dawson? I don't think there is a much more obvious answer. Mendy is a southpaw, slower then Magee but with longer reach; i woudn't be surprised if Bute calls Magee to spar with him. Bute only talks about his imediate opponent, never looks after his next fight (a lesson from Andrade); Bute spoke about Froch after Froch bashed him; he said they will meet eventually and that he'll close Froch's big mouth (and hopefully Rachael's too)
For the first time since Andrade 1, Bute is having his camp in Montreal. Interbox has made no secret that Kessler is what they want for this fall. Bute also said he wanted Kessler. In my book, only injuries could make that plan fall. As Pasky said, Showtime is pushing for that fight.
He also said he would face Ward directly after 2 tune ups. Anyway, you should understand that boxing is not only what the fighter wants. There are also financial and political matters. I'm sure Kessler wants Bute and Bute wants Kessler. That doesn't mean the fight is on.
They tried to get the best possible, willing and available fighter, which is something you keep yapping for..... When they consistently try to land any of them...you start bitching...atsch Take a little break from trolling...it'll help you.
Andre Dirrell is presently being somewhat black balled by Showtime for the time being. I don't know if things will change, and if so, when it will.... Have you ever wondered why Showtime or Dirrell never talk about his comeback on the station, since he was signed with them and it's been well over a year since his last fight...knowing he wants to come back, since he mentioned it often ?
We know nothing about Dirrell's comeback. I suppose he'll have a tune up fight first. Will Showtime want him again? Don't know. I guess the sooner we can see him in a big fight is this fall. I still prefer Bute-Kessler.
We know nothing about Dirrell, other than that he's sparring quality men like George Groves, whereas we know exactly what about Kessler? :rofl
