I doubt he will ever be number 1. Also how many Zab Judah fights have you saw? Did you see the Cotto fight? Where he got batterd by a big hitting WW for 11 rounds before being stopped :good
Dawson could beat Kessler from what I have seen if he stayed at range and avoided toe to toe action. But the fact is that if Kessler landed like Adamek did, he would finish him. Kessler also has a FAR better jab than Adamek and so Dawson would not be free to just tee off combos as he did for most of the fight with Adamek. A UD for Dawson would not be a big shock, but I would fancy Kessler to stop him. Dawson does not look to have a great chin and Kesslers 1-2s would stop him getting into his stride. Dawson will never be p4p Number 1 IMO.
Dawson could be fighting Adrian Diaconu next (his fight with Glen Johnson still isn't approved by the WBC) who's a big puncher and hits harder than Kessler, and if he ends up fighting Glen Johnson next there is a good chance you will see him take hard shots from Johnson, who also hits hard. So that will answer your question if Dawson does have a chin.
I've seen about half of Judahs career, the Cotto fight was abit of an anomaly, i think the combination of Zab training seriously and treating Cotto with alot of respect plus Cottos overrated 'power' had something to do with it though. Why do you doubt Dawson will be number 1? He's shown everything so far.
Being knocked down by Ademek and Harding does not bode well. Especially if he is put in there with a puncher. If Kessler can adapt to southpaws a bit better he could KO Dawson. Also Joe would beat Dawson:good Also Zab has only been badley hurt from one punch by Tzsyu and Tszyu has a monster right hand.
I have a question. Did Dawson look hurt in the slightest when adamek knocked him down? People are just looking at the fact that he went down and ignoring the important part, if he was hurt or not. ****, when Dawson gut caught he put his hands behind him to stop his fall, that's how fast the guys reflexes are and how composed he was a split second after the shot. Not to mention Adamek has heavy hands and is a fair bit bigger than Kessler, he is now fighting at Cruiser.
Mate, you need to watch that fight again, i've watched it atleast 10 times. Adamek gets more aggressive after the knockdown but that is the only thing that changes, Dawson still outboxes him in a calm manner for the rest of the fight, he was not anywhere close to being hurt. Watch the knockdown, he catches himself then looks over to his corner and nods with a sheepish look on his face, if you think he was hurt in anyway then i don't know what to tell you.
No, Calzaghe is one of my favorites and is probably the only guy out there who can really challenge Dawson. My problem was the fact you think flash knockdowns mean anything at all when a guy isn't hurt at all and you saying that Judah has only been hurt against Tszyu. I can't take you or your opinion seriously because of these things, I'm sorry. Now be gone.
I said only seriously hurt by one punch. As in not after a sustained beat down a la Cotto. Judah does not have a great chin it is just you said "A guy who is chinny is a guy whose legs get shaky every time he is touched, for example Zab Judah." And Judah is not shaky leged every time he is touched :good Well done for that one. Also I just watched that knockdown again. Dawson was quite obviuosly hurt. It was in no way just a flash knockdown
HAHAHA How was Dawson hurt? Please humor me. What were the signs, glassy eyes, shaky legs? I'm looking forward to this one. See Judah wobble against Baldomir, a guy who can't bang? Obviously i don't mean literally EVERY time he got touched.
I was picking up on the everytime he gets touched bit. No matter it's all semantics. Dawson looked wide eyed and did not look to be able focus his vison on anything :good, not badly hurt but hurt none the less and if he was in the ring with a better finisher he would have been in for a rough time.
I don't know what you're seeing. his eyes looked the same as they always do, slightly dopey, but the mutha****a was focused! Adamek is a good fighter and after the knockdown he tried to pour it on but he realised quickly Dawson wasn't in any trouble as he was ducking and slipping punches while firing back. Nobody could of done any better than adamek because there was nothing there to finish, to finish something you need to start something, Dawson was never hurt.
