Dawson would be too much for Kessler I would pick him by UD. He's faster bigger, stronger has better defense and footwork.
Dawson looked quality against Adamek of that there is no doubt. He moved well, he threw some great combinations and also showed excellent accuracy. But Adamek also looked **** because he did **** all. The guy did not even jab or try to work his way past the jab of Dawson. He was outclassed and would have been outclassed anyway because Dawson is better than him. But he could have avoided looking like utter **** if he had at least tried something other than walking forward and hoping to land a big right hand. He did not move around the jab of Dawson or try to. He did not throw his own jab and looked totally without any idea at all.
willie lee. about 2003 it does not say it on boxing rec but i assure you that dawson was dropped in the first round .
50-50 fight i reckon, i edge towards Kessler due to power, but a slick southpaw boxer could get the better of him, if Dawson avoids all trades and keeps the Dane at range he could nick a decision. Dawson is talented yes, but because he is undefeated Yank he is instantly overrated, he hasnt proved anything like p4p material yet.
Adamek proved his metal you ****ing alien. He been in wars in brutal fights took shots and gave them. He is the tougher fighter. If Kessler ate the punches that Dawson was backing up adamek and hurting him with that straight left. Oh, I guess you forgot to see that part and b/c a dingbat like yourself sees Dawson hold only b/c Adamek jumped on him recklessly. WTF was he supposed to do. He held him the same exact way right before any big punch landed or knockdown. You said Dawson started holding b/c he was hurt. NO *****, he started holding b/c Adamek was in his mug were he couldnt get shots off. What did he do as soon as the referee broke him off. Counter his ass and get shots off the same as before the ****ing knockdown. It was the same pattern you fake ass. Do you knw what a pattern is. If Dawson was truly hurt he would of gotten on his bike. He does have the legs for it. :rofl
You have nothing to go on with that, he was holding on simply because adamek got excited and was rushing into him, Dawson holds for about 2 seconds and pushes adamek back to get some room for his punches. In amateur boxing when guys rush in some holding goes on, it doesn't mean anyone is hurt.
Or is it because he is a yank he isn't given the credit he really deserves? It goes both ways, take nationality out of it and what do you have? A fast undefeated young WBC champ 6'3 southpaw with all the tools, the character, the determination and the improvements with each fight. Let's be real here mate. We are not talking about a short, muscle head, one dimensional slugger like Lacy here, we are talking about an athletic, versatile 6'3 young champ who can flat out fight.
Well it is a matter of opinion. I can see the difference between clinching to work on the inside, clinching because someone has just leapt on you wildly and clinching because you want to buy a few seconds. In my opinion Dawson was hurt when dropped, he got up and when Adamek came pouring in he tied him up to get himself totally cleared and then pot shotted him well. I have said he cleared quickly and he showed he deals with pressure well, but he was hurt nevertheless. I guess we will find out further down the line who is right. Toopretty - there is NOTHING to suggest Kessler does not have the heart or toughness of Adamek. Nothing. He has never been dropped and fought with constant pressure to the last bell against Calzaghe, never looking like giving up. Until Adamek landed in the 10th he looked like he had basically given up against Dawson. And "fake ass" and "*****"... Ouch that really hurt, put your Fiddy CD back on and keep talking crap.
I can assure you that is NOT the case with me. I rate Dawson, I think he looks like a very good fighter. My only issue is with seeing as always half the board say he would destroy Calzaghe and so on..based off him beating Adamek. Just as with Pavlik people act like there has been no sign of weaknesses in either of these two. As it is I think Dawson looks very very good in terms of ability, his chin is a question mark though. Being floored by a nobody in the first round, being dropped by a nothing shot from Harding and hurt (IMO) by a cuffing blow from a tired Adamek means there are worries there. But at the end of the day it does not mean he will not dominate and he has got up and gone on to win every time he has been dropped so fair play.
Lacy was the SMW Tyson before he got beat down. If Kessler was to beat Dawson comfortably people would just say he was a chinny hypejob. :good
If getting knocked down and getting right the **** back up and boxing the same way you were before the knockdown is being hurt. Then Calzaghe was hurt a few times b/c he was DROPPED by lesser opponents.
