You said Dawson-Calzaghe was a pick em fight but now you're saying Kessler by KO??? Which one is it?

I think Kessler knocks him out. Dawson's skilled, but his lack of chin will betray him against an elite with knockout power like Kessler. A big key to the fight, in my eyes, is whether or not Kessler has the speed to land lead rights- I happen to think he does, and that will be the difference given how much pop he carries in them. If you think there's no way Kessler can land them, then Dawson winning by decision wouldn't be a stretch.

Both these guys are very good fighters who will both be in the top 10 p4p list in the not too distant future.

Before the Calzaghe/Kessler fight, I thought Dawson would be the only one out there that could beat Kessler at distance. I also thought that Kessler wouldn't be good enough on the inside either, but Kessler actually went alright on the inside against Calzaghe.

Hopefully these guys fight one day, 09 would be more ideal imo.

I'd give Kessler the slight edge atm, I just think his offence would be too much for Dawson to handle, but I wouldn't be surprised if Dawson won.

Perhaps "boxing lesson" is not the correct characterization. Adamek is naturally bigger and stronger than Kessler and they both have a variation on that boring European style. Once he feels Adamek's power, he will become much more cautious as he is not a slugging fool like Mayorga. When a match of equal skill is made size can often become a factor. I would expect Adamek to win on points.

Dawson has a very difficult style for Calzaghe, but Kessler has a very difficult style for Dawson....

    You know, styles make fights?:D

I'd take Calzaghe over Dawson also, but it wouldn't be an easy fight.

With Kessler, all it takes is controlling the pace and landing a cracking bomb to make Dawson fight his fight/and or KO him, just has the timing/power intangible needed to really own over Dawson more than slappy Joe.:yep

I disagree on Adamek being as talented as Kessler - also Adamek carries decent power - but he is sure not a powerhouse.

I think Kessler would outwork and outscore Adamek with relative ease - much like Dawson did, but without the knockdown ;)

Out of all the champions in or around 168 I think Dawson has the most challenging style for Calzaghe. Id still pick Calzaghe to win though.
