Tough call, Watson was outworking Eubank in their second bout, but his high workrate was just as much, if not more, of a problem than his strong jab and boxing skills. Kessler has a strong jab as well, but his method of fighting was different from Watson's. I think I'd go with Eubank by close Decision.
Interesting matchup. We haven't seen Kessler really tested by a puncher of Eubanks' class yet, and Thimply tagged much more elusive targets than Kessler in his day. I say Eubank by KO until I see a few more big fights out of Kessler.
this is the current version of Kessler vs. Prime Eubanks right? If so, Id lean towards Eubanks in a close decision, but Kessler could show more in his next couple of fights that could lean me towards him
Chris Eubank was a ****ing great boxer and would have no problem stopping Kessler...He was quick, strong, had a great defence but most of all had HEART.....He was nuts tho
A way past peak, near retired, weight drained Eubank, who took the fight at very short notice and lost 5 or his last 9 fights, one of those to Joe, gave what Calzaghe says was his toughest ever fight. Calzaghe was showboating against Kessler in the second half of the fight against him. I realise style makes fights, but prime Eubank is a class above the straight line fighting Kessler IMO and wins this one.
Kessler needs to at least have a comparable body of work. Its why the fights are fought. On paper, potential.its all hyperbole.....I will give you an example a month ago Andy Lee was capable of beating Pavlik. the Tito that fought B-HOP, Jermain Taylor and given Monzon trouble.
