Mikkel Kessler vs Gennady Golovkin who you got?

I can see Kessler having some success but how exactly does he beat GGG? Kessler has not beaten anyone even in the same universe as GGG and the guys he has fought on GGG's level dominated him. Kessler's fights with Calzaghe, Froch, and Ward do not convince me at all that he beats GGG. Besides, what clear advantages did Kessler ever have in a h2h match with GGG? Maybe the jab like you say? They both have good jabs. I am all ears.

Top match-making this. At SMW and based upon current achievements of GGG, I'd lean towards Kessler - but only due to the lack of real quality on GGG's resume at this point.

 

Golovkins jab is clearly better, he's won entire rounds with his jab, and it's one of the 3 best jabs in the sport... he also hits harder than Kessler, and he's a much better counterpuncher with better footwork, the only reason why you think Kessler would win is because of his resume lol. Golovkin would've beaten Kessler to a pulp, the same goes for Abraham.

If we're talking prime Kessler I take him by decision.

The fight would be semi competitive for 5-6 rounds then that when Kessler starts to fade and Golovkin is able to stop him by round 9 or 10. Kessler's body just wouldn't hold up to the pressure Golovkin would apply pressure. Kessler had a hard punch but he was never a physically strong guy. Ward pushed him around like a rag doll.

 

Put it this way, if GGG fought Ward right now, I believe it wouldn't go the distance...... Ward would outbox, frustrate and eventually stop ggg within 8rds......... Therefore i believe Kessler does the same but it goes the distance.

GGG is too small for these guys

 

So Kessler beats GGG but GGG crushes Ward?

I think GGG can box better than what some of you guys think. He can hit and thats obvious, and i think his skils have not been truly put to the test yet. He has fought some reasonable opposition, but the time is fast approaching where he will be put the the ultimate test, which is fighting another fighter who has speed, power, experience and a good chin, and who is an universally acknowledged "A" level fighter. I have seen the subtle skills that GGG has, and that's enough for me to think he would fare well against Kessler. GGG by late stoppage unless Kessler can keep him off him for 12 long, hard grueling rounds which i think is asking a bit much of Kessler after being touched too many times by GGG.:hat
