If Joe Cal can almost end the fight with a bodyshot, prime Toney is getting in that ass.

Right now, I wouldn't give Toney much chance.

Prime Toney by UD over Kessler.

In Kessler's last fight he weighed in at 167 3/4lbs.

In Toney's last fight he weighed in at 226lbs.

I think that with 55+lbs weigh advantage, as long as Toney came in to the ring in good condition, he would bully and dominate Kessler.

You must think Kessler is a very very special fighter indeed if you think he can overcome a 55lbs weight deficit against a fighter who is far more talented than he ever will be.

If Toney actually trained correctly and made a reasonable weight, i.e. 175 or maybe a catchweight somewhere higher Kessler would definitely own his ass in the ring at this stage.

Prime for prime its a different matter, but IMO we havn't even seen Mikkel's prime :bbb

Mikkel is damn near 30 and has chronic back and hand issues. He's already hit his prime.

Ok, he's in his prime. We still havn't seen the majority of it IMO. Hopefully he'll get a move on.

It is wildly unrealistic to expect a guy to be able to get down to 175 from at least 226. I don't think Toney could get to 190 now without wrecking himself a la Jones post-Ruiz, only worse as Toney is older now.

And what an underwhelming prime it is.

I don't think so. I said somewhere above 175 too if nots possible, a catchweight. Look at the rolls of fat on the guy. It isn't muscle mass, it SHOULD be easy to shed if you don't train in dunkin donuts all your life.

He could get down to at least 190 in my opinion, where this fight could be realistic in a boxing sense since Mikkel is big at the weight. But of course, in actuality its very unrealistic and unlikely

No, i mean towards the punches. When he's infighting and doing his shoulder roll thing, he usually tries to move away from punches. But if he's caught in a situation where he knows he can't get out of the way of a coming punch, i think he does move toward the punch to take away leverage. Anyone else notice this or am i some moron?

    Prime 4 Prime

    James Toney.

    Most likely method: wide UD.
