People picking the stoppage (pretty much all for Kessler so far) - do you see it as just an accumulative beatdown type of stoppage or a taste-of-your-own-medicine dose of "laid out flat with a perfect right hand"?

Pavlik is a tough cookie and he'll never throw in the towel (part of the reason I really like him), Kessler would have to lay down a heavy smack down to end it within the distance and even at that, it would be the corner or ref stepping in.

i see kessler as a bigger and better version of pavlik

two come forward guys with a jab and right hand offense

kessler probably wins his last fight a win vs froch

    pavlik didnt look too great

Kessler close UD, Kessler does not have the accuracy to win wide or to stop Pavlik anymore.

Kessler points though it's a fight I wouldn't mind seeing.

So you feel the Pavlik of the Lopez fight is about on par in terms of difficulty with Froch currently? :think

I love Kelly but as of right now Kessler by UD. If Kelly can comeback to his former self i might have to revisit.

kelly needs another fight before he steps in w/ any of the titlists. nothing wrong with that either.

Pavlik at 168 or higher, just isnt the same fighter he was at 160. At 160 he was a beast using his size, reach, and jab to dictate fights. He had very good power at 160, at 168 his punches seem to lack serious power. Not to mention he is slower if anything (he was never fast to begin with), I see him getting owned by the elite (Bute, Ward, Froch, Kessler). I think he would have a hard time with the 2nd tier as well (Bika, Andrade), his best shot for a marque fight would be against Abraham or Glen Johnson. Those guys are even slower than the Ghost, and with his size and jab he could control those fights.

I think it took a massive effort from Kessler to win that fight, he wasnt able to sit back on some of those traits that we know him best for due to his eyesight being clearly compramised, his accuracy has looked off for quite a while, this in turn has meant other aspects of his game such as controlling distance and pushing his opponents back with clusters of punches have been missing from his game. However the one thing Kessler does retain is that fighting spirit and that will to win, i think he would try and engage Pavlik much in the same way he tried to engage Froch only Pavlik looks to be less dangerous at 168lbs but would likely be willing to try and exchange. So to answer the question i dont think Pavlik is as dangerous as Froch but i doubt Kessler would be able to reproduce that performance he managed against Froch, the fact that Pavlik seems to be punching straighter than Kessler would mean he'd win his fair share of exchanges and in theory rounds but i think the Viking Warrior has just enough to win a close decision.

Am i writing Kessler off to soon?:think
