Pavlik has never been Stopped, and its not gonna happen Now! I dont know why there are so many haters when it comes to Pavlik! No respect!!! Pavlik Hits as hard as anyone in 168 if not hardest and has the best chin! His Jab Will freeze Fighters! Kessler Is a tough Guy, great fighter and I like Him, But After I thought about It, He wont be able to take Kelly Shots all night long after a Previous Injury to his eye!

You have absolutely nothing to back that up. It's not hating, just dealing with the facts. I like Pavlik but he'd be beaten by all the top dogs at 168 imo.

Youtube his Knock outs! We have seen his chin plenty of times. When he gets hit Good He smiles! Every time! except when he came off the floor a KO's Taylor!

I like Pavlik, but let's be real. He hasnt been in with anyone who punches as hard as Kessler and some referees would have stopped him in the first Taylor fight. He was out on his feet.

Froch came of the Floor to KO Taylor also, Ward has never been put down. Guys like Bute, Froch and Kessler have stopped good boxers at 168. Pavlik has fought two decent fighters above 160 and couldn't put a dent in them. He's unproven at the weight. You're talking through your rear orifice.

He has a good chin, no doubt about it but where's the evidence he has a better chin than Kessler, Froch and Ward? None!

i agree, pavlik does get underrated by a lot on here... but you're on him like a rash, boo. we all know how much you like him.

i've watched both guys from the start... and there's never been a time were i've felt pavlik would get the better of him. kessler punches harder, moves better, has better footwork, throws more combinations.... he's just better at everything!!

i don't know why you'ed think that kessler would be the one who's likely to get stopped either. kessler took everything that froch threw at him. he wasn't hurt at all... and froch hits harder than pavlik. froch is also much better than pavlik has ever been or ever will be.

prime for prime: kessler gives pavlik a vicious beating and stops him in about 8 rounds. pavlik's there to be hit.

if they were to fight now: same thing. wouldn't surprise me to see pavlik quit after 6 or 7 rounds. he's not there mentally anymore. if his last opponent had of been better, he would of crumbled before your very eyes.

... i say this as a pavlik fan as well. don't accuse me of being bias or blind either. i know my boxing.

    peace :rasta

So, on the basis of Kessler looking good against a mediocre middleweight and Pavlik looking like he had shaken off some ring rust in the latter rounds against a previously undefeated Light Heavy Weight, we assume Kessler takes Pavlik? Right............

That and the fact that Pavlik hasn't beaten a top fighter since February 2008 whilst Kessler beat Froch a little over a year ago.

Miranda Hits hard. You dont stop a fight in the 2nd round of a Title fight On the First Time someone is in trouble! He was too damn stubborn to just fall down!

A hall of famer, and JT. Yes! His power traveled With Him to 168, But when he fights a natural Light Heavy its not gonna show!

Its Just funny to me to see Pavlik With his average Frame Just Cripple People and it looks like he isnt even throwing hard until You see HEADS Snap back. Compared To Cut Up fighters like Froch, Kess, Bute Who seem To Throw super fast and put everything on it!

Will Froch do any better against Ward than Kessler did? The premise of the thread is that both guys have been off long enough to be a little bit of an unknown factor. If you want to go back we can say Froch barely made it past a shot to **** Taylor. Digression is not the point of the thread though. Kessler was in against a smaller man that was willing to stand in front of him. Kelly was in against a bigger guy intent on running and spoiling since that is the supposed "blueprint" on how to beat him.

You're just spouting baseless rhetoric. You've nothing to back up your argument at all. Pavlik was a big puncher at middleweight. There's no evidence to show he has brought it with him to 168 and certainly no evidence he's more powerful than the big hitters at 168.

Come back to me when you have some evidence. :hi:

Probably not. Don't see the relevance of that question.

The premise of the thread is who would win if they fought right now. If you think the fact that Pavlik hasn't beaten a top fighter in 3 and a half years is irrelevant to that premise you are kidding yourself. Kessler has beaten a boxer recently who is in the Super Six final.

Pavlik looked **** in his last fight because he's shot. His speed, reflexes, stamina all were worse than what we saw against Martinez and none of that was down the the style of his opponent.
