After Calzaghe popped Kessler cherry, I wonder what kind of fighter he will grow to be, hopefully not another Lacy.

nah, Kessler put up a good fight in Calzaghe's back yard. Didn't really take much of a beating and forced Calzaghe to fight safe and use his experience to beat him. This is one of those losses where the loser gains alot of experience.

Yes, when I say his cherry was popped, I dont just mean him losing, but also the first time he stepped up to the plate against a really good fighter on a the big stage. I feel Kessler underperformed against Calzaghe a bit, he had many great opertunities to hit a wide open Calzaghe, but didnt have it in him to pull the trigger, other than a few uppercuts he was able to get in, he really didnt impress me for the most part in that fight.

Calzaghe didn't fight safe - for the first 4 rounds he kept sticking his head out for Kessler to hit so he could nullify his arsenal

And check rd 12 for safe fighting by Calzaghe - even though it was preety much understood he was ahead on points, he came at Kessler from the opening bell.

He would have to be looking for Taylor right?

Pavlik has been pretty clear he wants to do more work at MW, and has plenty of guys to fight there. Can Kessler make 160?

He presents an interesting matchup, but I'm not sure he could beat Taylor.

Maybe he just wants to see a great fight, I'd use my connections to go to every big fight if I was a world class boxer.

I feel the same way; he stops both Pavlik and Taylor in my opinion

Would Winky fight Pavlik if the opportunity was presented to him?

Any fights between a combination of these 3 would be good. Kessler/Taylor would be very interesting. Similar athletes with different styles.

The winner of Pavlik-Taylor would probably be a 2-1 favorite over Kessler, but would get blown out by him in 6 rounds or less and have no chance against him.
