No mate, it was definately a mile and half, you got remember what these boy's do in training and they just go at it flat out.
I like Pijo's avatar... oh yeah... mile runs... erm The fastest mile ever run is 3:43.13 by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco in 1999. The fastest women's mile is 4:12:86 run by Svetlana Masterkova of Russia on August 14, 1996. I read that Floyd Mayweather runs a mile in 4 minutes... which when you consider that until 1960's no one had broken 4 minutes is damned impressive seeing as running is far from his specialised sport
My fastest mile (according to nike +) is 4.52. This was recorded during a 4 mile run + As I live in the mountains the 4.52 mile must be one of the downhill sections!!
i think to be considered fit you have to run a mile in 5-6.30mins ...roger bannister ran it in under 4 mins a few decades ago. however at 5ft8 and 220lbs dont mean to be rude but your bmi is really high for your height ideally you should be approx-170-180lbs.
I agree I love running, I think it's great. As of now for myself now now just running on the treadmill before and after a work out. Maybe 3/4 a mile. I think running is great though and distance, sprint, competitions-hurdles high jump etc.
I wish I could read what everyone typed but I don't care. Plus I'm slightly drunk too. I'm 150lbs for the record Army time 6 mins miles for 5 miles, but I never had a stop watch so I don't know myself. It all has to do with motivation.
6 min. and some change in highschool. not sure what it would be if i were actually in shape enough to run a mile these days.
