What? You presented it like it was "no biggie". A stud in the recruitment office is golden. Would they be tailing an intelligent fatbody with the same zeal? NO. Sure they will keep recruiting. That is their job. Where you making a point?

Again, you missed the context and/or are way off topic. I am talking about selection boards for the staff ranks. That is the whole reason for doing a B billet. Getting ranked up to E-5 is cake as a recruiter. Being a good recruiter is a hell of a lot harder (for most) than "just doing your job in the fleet" so it worlds different.

What are you talking about? Who said recruiters have ANYTHING to do with that? I am talking about maintaining the correct numbers in the fleet. So recruiting is just one aspect of the overall retention strategy.

 It isn't about "believing" it. It is about you acting as though getting in that crap is "hard" and being a stud at the recruitment office meant nothing. Kids get denied left and right anyway. The ONLY way the Corps denies them is if they are fat bodies, rocks, or have waivers. No way in hell you are going to tell me the Corps is now turning away qualified candidates. Studs? Bwahahaha! :rofl

No crap, "elite... best... blah, blah, blah". You keep it that way because it is designed that way. Stop blowing smoke up my butt. The Marine Corps is structured differently than the other armed services. The Corps needs "bodies" because of this pyramid structure. Period.

I caught it and I caught how you layered a ton of "Hoorah" BS on top like passing the ASVAB is some feat. So as long as the guy isn't a complete rock he is more than "adequate", i.e., to be in bulk fuel or electronics, i.e., making it to the FMF.

You were being condescending. The military is the military and as long as this is a democracy and we are a volunteer service? The game doesn't change much. The Corps has high physical standards (especially for a guy walking off of the street), but far fewer highly technical positions than say the USAF or USN. Studs are a commodity.

Passing an ASVAB, drug test, criminal background check, and being sane isn't a leap for the average joe. In these days and times passing the weight regs and fitness test is probably harder. Everybody you turn down is unsat. Period. Don't present it as though the Marines are turning away bodies for GP on some "grey poupon" nonsense. That isn't "keeping it real".

Again, here you go being condescending when nothing you have said is all that insightful or deep intellectually to anyone with a lick of experience. A bunch of personal/professional hype and incorrect extrapolations.

Trust, you don't need to entertain anything. I said my piece. I also don't need convincing. Like I said, quit blowing smoke up peoples asses and quit drinking the scarlet and gold flavored Kool-Aid. I am not saying I know everything, but man you are putting a DUB on things. :yep

once again you clearly missed what I was saying. It is funny how a person can say "I'm not trying to sound condescending" and another person can turn around and say "you are being condescending"

But anyway, IRT your post. "ok"
