Scar hates on Zuniga, Zertuche, and McKart because it keeps him from being forced to admit that all 3 would be a significant step up over many of Abraham's title defenses. Abraham fought Simon, who was living off McKart's left overs. He fought Shannon Taylor, who was coming off a TKO loss to Raymond Joval. He fought Marquez who had a recent draw wth McKart, and AA ducked Zuniga. Pavlik fought better fighters on the way up than Abraham fought as a world titlist. Scar has a problem with that.
Boo, the other thread got merged into like 18 pages, so I'm bringing this post in here too, for those who may not seen it yet. This is dead on hammer on the nail. Got any more ideas to add with that stuff?:thumbsup
Aww come on, Bro. That post is a damn good starting point to get some civilized conversation goin' on, after all the negative **** so far anyways. Boo is thourough though....is hard to think of much else to say.
I know you got into watching some "Little Red" fights at one time, and I used to tell you guys that in some ways KP reminded me of a giant Danny Lopez. Danny did alwright for himself considering featherweights made diddley **** for money in those days. Ya know what made Danny a VERY popular fighter? He was vulnerable, he was amiable, he was humble, he'd fight anything that walked, crawled, or hadn't been dead to long, and he knocked mother****ers out cold! Boxing fans absolutely love a soft spoken, well mannered KO artist. That's what got Kelly to the top, and that's what he needs to get back to.
Great post. Kelly was on the radio here in Cleveland on Tuesday night. I have to say reading the articles about what "Kelly said" and hearing him talk about it on the radio are like night and day. The main thing I took away from his radio interview was that he seemed very frustrated. At the people in Y-Town who are spreading rumors about him. And I think he's frustrated with Arum and Top Rank. I mean, they haven't done him any favors recently. In fact, I would argue they have temporarily butchered his career. Because Kelly wears his heart on his sleeve, the frustration is manifesting itself in some of these comments about the SMW tournament, etc.
So it's okay for other delusional Pavlik fans to hate on Abraham's wins but when someone says the same about Pavlik it's terrible?, I never saw you questioning anyone hating on Abraham's wins, why is that?, because you're a Pavlik fan only?
He fought Taylor at 168 and that weight was perfectly FINE for him, yet when he fights Hopkins 2 pounds above he lost because it's not his weight.
