I think by the sounds of the latest Hearn interview it Whyte vs Povetkin is lined up for July plus I doubt that Hearn would want the AJ vs Whyte fight in America.

Hunter and Hrgovic already scheduled to fight on the Usyk undercard in seperate fights. Pulev has only just fought and everyone else who is decent seems to have a a fight scheduled.

Leaves a replacement to be picked out of a bad bunch of mismatches in Ortiz, Rivas and Kownkacki.

Whyte is the only guy that can save this, but will Hearn wanna take that kinda risk on Joshua’s US debut? I doubt it. Most likely Kownacki gets a life changing payday here.

Joshua vs Ortiz is a much better fight than Joshua vs Miller.

I wanted Miller because he'd have a chance at wearing Joshua down. Ortiz should be about as capable as Povetkin, but would have nothing left after 7 or 8 rounds.

Kownacki deserves it more although Ortiz is more likely.

I would far rather it be Kownacki or Andy Ruiz Jr, than Ortiz

Ortiz is a 6 round fight these days, and prehistoric. He went 10 with Wilder only because Wilder was so hesitant and low output in that fight.

Atleast with Andy Ruiz Jr or Kownacki they are new challengers for a title.

Ortiz already blew his load and gassed against the weakest of the 3 top HWs. Doesnt deserve another shot.

Ortiz has father time to contend with. He actually deserved a rematch with Wilder but Wilder is too scared despite Ortiz being 52.

I hope they can get Hunter to cancel his upcoming fight on the Usyk undercard to fight AJ. Hunter is certainly the most technically gifted American HW over Ruiz Jr (who like Hunter is very underrated), Wilder, Miller, Kownkacki and Breazeale.

Would like to see Aj vs Ortiz just so the old heart patient can finally retire and also shut up the last of the Wilder fanatics.

Think it will be AJ vs Whyte though.

Ortiz will finally be past it if Joshua fights him next. There's no shame in the game of Wilder fans.
