IMO he tires guys down so easily. You get very tired hitting a 315 lb guy who keeps coming at you. You throw the kitchen sink but he just doesn’t get hurt. It ultimately gasses fighters out. If you don’t have amazing KO ability, Miller is going to walk you down and stop you even if your stamina is good. Miller is a tough fight, I’d love to see him vs AJ or Wilder. Even against guys like Whyte or Parker it’d be interesting to see how they can handle his style. Miller is one of the best US heavyweights in recent memory.
Being the best heavyweight in recent memory isn't exactly that great an achievement. Bermane Stiverne could be described in a similar way lol. But you're right, if you don't have something to prevent him walking you down he's a tough proposition for anyone.
I agree. Miller may not have top boxing skills, but his weight, aggressive style and comparably good stamina make him a difficult fight for any other heavyweight, including the top guys like Joshua.
I'd like to see him take on Povetkin, Ortiz or Parker to better gauge how we would fare against AJ, Wilder or Fury but from what I've seen of him I believe he has the potential to give all of the affermentioned fighters a run for their money on the night.
He's good but really I just can't get behind a rising contender who is fatter every time he steps in front of the camera. This is the time in his career when he should be getting into his greatest condition...getting ready to try and get himself a title shot...but I'm not seeing the dedication. He needs to drop 70 pounds before he deserves any serious consideration. If he keeps at the pace he's at now then by the time 2020 comes around and he gets in there with Wilder or Joshua or whoever...he will be 350 pounds and eating hams between rounds...and I'm not interested in seein slobs in the ring.
Why do some people still think he needs to lose weight when his style is 100% dependant on him being big? Dropping 70 pounds would be a disaster. 310-320 is perfect for Miller. Big strong bully who is still sharp and can still move.
Santiago Ponzinibbio the winner of the UFC main event that ran near parallel to this showcased more skill than Miller did. Miller was outboxed by a short notice replacement who's heart hasn't been in the sport for years. This content is protected
