I'd be impressed with that. He's the best realistic live opponent. Would like to see Whyte, but think it's too short notice and would be surprised to see that happen in the US.

I think it'll be Kownacki. He's also from Brooklyn which has been a big part of the marketing with this fight. Wouldn't surprise me if he's been the standby (same as Pulev/Takam) all along.

    Oh dear oh dear

I wasn’t fussed about the miller fight at all, we all know what the outcome would’ve been anyway.

Hopefully we get a good replacement like Ortiz or Pulev. Kownacki and Rivas would be ok also

Ortiz, Joyce, Kownacki or Hunter. All fine choices, though a longer camp would be nicer.

Not many here have talked about the stupidity of this yet. Firstly he misses out on a $6.5M payday, secondly this pure PED is known to cause rapid growing cancer.
It's exactly the PED someone like him needs to massively improve, but it's something you would get off as rapidly as possible once you secured a big money shot at the title.
Seems like he thought he would pass the VADA test to try and make his remote chance of winning a bit less unlikely, so he could make even more in the rematch.

Don't think we get Ortiz as a replacement and it certainly won't be Whyte II

He will want too much money plus Hearn wouldn't want to upset Wilder by letting AJ get a body on his record..

Yep, he just tore up his lottery ticket after his numbers came in. No one has mentioned those press conferences neither yet, people in glass houses Mr Miller! He should be banned for life for his stupidity never mind the cheating.

Feel sorry for the 10000 brits who have bought tickets and travel etc.
Hopefully they get a better replacement than Miller.

Miller trains in a bodybuilder’s gym from time to time (flex Lewis), so not too surprising...the irony though...

Can’t see it being anyone decent but Miller was crap anyway...

Throw Rio Ferdinand in there, it’s a decent fight.

Time for Fres Oquendo to finally get his chance to shine!

Apparently Joe Joyce's manager has put his name forward. I think it'll be Ortiz or Kownacki. Ortiz would be the best option on paper, even though I think he's now turned too old, the signs were there against Hammer IMO. Kownacki makes sense as he's a New Yorker and at least has a few wins against known opponents.

It’s the one reason why this date is going to have to go ahead and they’ve got a duty to the fans to get a decent level opponent.

I’ve got Rio down as a light heavy or even super middle by the time he cuts.

    “duty to the fans”

Gate receipts don’t matter to these clowns.

Given it’s taken close to two years to programme joe public to first remember millers name then secondly link him as credible aj fodder, they can’t get any worse an opponent here because miller is already utter dog. Albeit dog whose name has been “built” for 18-24months

No way do they take a step up in opponent at such short notice? Ortiz? They’ve been ducking that guy for years now they pull him out of a hat as a late replacement? Team chinny robot don’t want that work

Shows off in my considered estimation.
