Both were competent world level welterweights. both had the misfortune to run into donald curry..........who stopped both. larocca had a big somewhat overblown record, going 56-0 at one point. he also beat a bunch of competent fighters like contenders harold volbrecht, pete ranzany and also future wbo champ manning galloway. mccrory however fought the better names, beating the like of colin jones, gilles elbilia (who had been the first to defeat larocca due to an injury); pedro vilella (who beat marlon starling) and also future WBO champ doug dewitt. so who wins this?? i pick the iceman by tko in 11.
McCrory, rather easily. I usually hate the term, but Larocca's showing against Curry was the very definition of "exposed."
