who wins this battle of kronk fighters??
both have in common that their respective Talents are somewhat overlooked because they lost their most important fights.
had it not been for Curry, mccrory would probably have had a lengthy reign. and oba carr was particularly unlucky to get his title shots vs Killers like Trinidad, quartey and dela Hoya.

the Bottom line remains: both were excellent fighters! mccrory the harder Puncher and more classic Stylist. carr the cuter boxer.

    so who takes it??

    McCrory was better than Carr.

Carr is pretty overrated. I dont think he was a better technician than McCrory.

McCrory is one of those that gets precious little attention here, but he was actually pretty good. I think he controls Carr with the jab and begins teeing off with right hands increasingly over the last half of the fight, en route to a clear decision win.

Yeah, in Carr we're talking about a guy who went life and death with Darrell Coley, in a fight that coulda gone either way. McCrory was a HELLUVA lot better than Coley.

Carr wasnt all that good. His reputation is overrated.

McCrory by late round stoppage. If Emanuel Stewart hadn't did the dumb thing and fought Donald Curry when Milton was supposed to, his career would have ended differently.

To be fair, Curry was the more credible titlist so the onus was on McCrory to fight him to establish himself as the legit champ. It was the right thing to do and god knows we'd all love it if fighters and promoters would take these kind of risks nowadays. That's why we had the situation (until very recently) of three unbeaten welterweight titlists in Spence, Thurman and Crawford - because no one was prepared to risk it.

I hear you, but to be honest, I was talking about 2 years before they actually fought, when Milton was the undisputed #1, and Curry the #2. They were supposed to fight for Sugar Ray Leonard's vacant belt, but Emanuel vetoed that.
