    I cant see Cormier lasting 5 against Stipe. The mans on fire at the moment !

    I agree, but many people think Jones, Gus and Cormier could overcome the size differences, which is laughable. I guess beating an Old washed up Barnett, A slow plodding and overrated bigfoot and a washed up Frank Mir means so much :yaay Cormier aint winning.

    He has skills and iq man(Stipe), a hard hard man to beat if your a big guy. Cormiers good but I cant see how people have him beating Miocic. I'm at the stage where i'm comparing Stipe to the best ever at Heavy, not a great 205 fighter that can hang with average heavies !

    I probably would pick Miocic over Cormier but the only thing laughable is the way you described the guys he has beaten at Heavyweight.You don't seem to understand 1 of the main reasons people thought Jones,Cormier etc. could have success at Heavy is there has been so few stars and contenders.

    Mir was coming off a UFC title fight and was well inside the top 10 like Barnett and Bigfoot were when Cormier easily beat them. While you may not rate them the facts are that the division has been lacking quality and new blood forever and those guys have remained top contenders over along period.

    The only one who has mentioned Ward here is you! I have no history of hating on that win so that's another fail. Trying to claim I'm salty about a win I have barely mentioned on this board is reaching a bit pal...

    See? He can be a dirty fighter, boring etc but am I salty? No. He got a great win. Besides, Why would I hate Ward? I'm part Irish myself :lol:

    DC was a phenomenal HW. People were calling him the "Black Fedor", and for good reason!

    I think he gives Stipe hell.

    But Stipe's confidence is on another level right now. Not just that, but he is humble with it and wants to keep winning. He knows what a loss means.
