Well lets not kid ourselvs Lesnars striking is awful too. The only thing this guy has going for him is power.

And yeah, for anybody to be somewhat impressed with Mirs boxing against Nog needs to get their head examined. Right now, Noguiera is nothing more than a punching bag that moves around a bit. It was a pathetic effort and just reaffirmed my opinion that Nog should hang em up.

Sapp? Yes for sure. Sapp was a football player who had no prior martial arts background. And yet still rag dolled Noguiera for the whole fight before getting caught in a sub.

Choi stinks but im sure people would include him as having a martial arts background even though he fought in K-1 which is for the most part a huge joke.

When you fight about 92 percent of your fights agianst the top guys you are bound to lose a few. 9 losses really 8 is not bad at all when that resume is a legitmate whos who list.

Lesnar was a former wrestler before he became a WWE star. If you look back at UFC history, you will see that many wrestlers dominated the sport. Matt Hughes-Mark Coleman-Randy Couture-Tito Ortiz etc were former champions. Wrestlers has had good success in the ufc so it's no surprise that we see another wrestler being crown a champion.

I think more people look at lesnar as a WWE wrestler than a real wrestler. Forget about the WWE lesnar cuz the lesnar in the UFC now is a REAL WRESTLER who won the NCAA wrestling championship in 2000

dude couture fought as a heavyweight before he moved down to 205 and fought liddell.

He was a 3 time heavyweight champion and has beaten heavyweights before gonzaga and sylvia.
He beat Maurice Smith and won his 1st heavyweight title then he left for contract dispute. When he came back he beat Kevin Randleman to regain his HEavyweight title.

He beat Pedro Rizzo twice before losing to josh barnett and ricco rodriguez.

People tend to forget this fact conveniently when talking about Sapp. Sapp was an average NFL player who almost killed "prime" Nog had he not gassed. God, can you imagine a top of the line player like RAy Lewis with two weeks training from Barnett would do?

Choi, the man is a just a huge guy they saw walking the streets of Seoul

So Lesnar is knockout specialist now? He knocks Couture out and that means he knocks out Mir? I don't think so. Mir has never been knocked out, that always has to be taken into consideration. Secondly if "terrified" Mir would be knocked out Lesnar would have been able to do it when he had a chance the first time. It didn't happen. Mir wins the rematch. I see NO way Lesnar beats a Frank Mir in shape. HELL NO!

Ray Lewis definitely could have been a great MMA prospect. He also was a state champ in HS wrestling.

And Stephen Neil (lineman for the patriots)who beat Brock Lesnar in college and won a World Championship in Freestyle @ 286 pounds could been a good prospect.

That was a GNP stoppage, a TKO. Not a knockout. People talk like Lesnar is gonna Rashad Evans on Chuck Liddell or something.

Wrong. Ken Shamrock was a pro-wrestler first way before the WWE. He was a pro-wrestler who went to Japan and wrestled in All Japan Pro-wrestling, UWF and then Pancrase. He even said when he went to the UFC on the night of his first fight he was waiting in the locker room for someone to come and tell him how things were going to go down but then realised it really was a 'shoot'.

Lesnar was all over Mir until he was caught with the leg lock.
