I think Miranda should just stay at 168 and try a title there. A lot of guys who never won against the top dogs at 160 tried 168 and became a champ. I think the best fight, thought not necessarily between the best fighters, that can be made at this weight is Miranda-Andrade. The Mexican is like a 168 lb version of Margarito(albeit slower, way slower). Not the most talented guy around, but with a chin and skin made for boxing, plus griding pressure makes him a formidable opponent against anyone. I can easily imagine Miranda taking it to Andrade early. And Andrade will get stronger as the fight goes on. Intangibles: Will Andrade's chin hold up? Has he met a guy who's power is too much for him to take? With Miranda's wild aggressive style, will he have enough reserve on the gas tank if Andrade is still in there with him in the late rounds? What will it do to Miranda's mentality if he finds himself unable to hurt his opponent? What do you think?
Andrade stops him. Andrade is bigger and better. Miranda does not have the chin to compete with the best fighter's at 168. Good match up though. Miranda will simply be a gatekeeper at this level. Put the prospects in with him to see whether they can take his punch.
Andrade. The only question is the method of his win. He can soak up Miranda's punches and back him up, and either outwork him or knock him out. I'll take Andrade by KO.
