“I feel like a completely different fighter at super middleweight:think and I can’t wait to show my fans the new ‘Pantera’ on October 30th,” said Miranda (28-2, 24 KOs) from his training camp in Puerto Rico. “My only concern is that none of the champions will want to fight me in 2008 after they see how much stronger and faster I am at 168 pounds. But I guarantee that I will hunt them down and take their belts.”:bbb

This guy is funny i would like to see him vs Kessler and Calzaghe
but i can't see that he beat this guys
can he win a belt at supermiddleweight ?

Any fighter in the SMW top 10 would school Miranda.

I think that is stretching it. Saying any fighter in the top 5 would school him is more accurate IMO.

He has not shown that he can win a belt at SMW yet.

  4. Calzaghe would box circles around him, Kesseler would beat his as$ also, Lacy would probaly KO him too, Jermain Taylor would school his as$ too that leaves Pavlik will we all know what would happen there, :tired Abraham already beat him:D
Miranda is extremely over-rated and over-hyped, he has no chanch to succeed at 168, there are way to many guy's that are more talented than him...
Maybe he could get a job as Pavliks sparring partner...

Andrade could be a good test for him at SM. Miranda is a relentless fighter and Andrade has a very good chin

That would be a fight worth watching, to see if Miranda can hang with a top 10 supermiddleweight. Or how about Miranda-Berrio, that fight would be bombs away all night. Two Columbian sluggers against each other? I think Miranda might get bombed out of there, though.:good

If that is true Green was not just weight drained but also STUPID because he only had to go down to 162.:blurp

Seriously Black are you in family with Green or something? All you talk about is how Green, or the Sweetness as you prefer to call him, can beat everybody, Calzaghe, Kessler, Pavlik (at 168) a.s.o.
The reality is that he got knocked down by a nobody and lost to the limited Miranda and now, believe it or not, he is fighting Sherwin Davis!

I think Miranda will have a harder time at the SMW. He won't get a belt at 168.

He is fighting Henry Porras. Porras got knocked out by Kessler in 9 , by
Froch in 8 and by Braehmer in 7.
Maybe Miranda can do it quicker

Unless he can increase his punch output and become less hittable, he's still no threat to any of the top dogs at 160 or 168.

Miranda being relentless is a myth. I've seen 5 of his fights now, and other than Willie Gibbs, where he hurt the guy early and jumped all over him (late I might add) after he saw he was staggered, he's been a pretty hesitant fighter, and the spots he does pick aren't all that great. With his style, he needs to bring more constant pressure to be successful and keep his hands up.

It's almost silly to think that healthy Green wouldn't beat Miranda. I doubt Green will ever be back to full health again, but he kept things close and almost KTFOed Miranda all while being weight drained and having a terminal illness. He looked nothing what he'd looked like in prior fights. Green may not be the best fighter in the world, but he's better than Miranda.

Miranda is very fun too watch and very powerful. He'll always put his best into every fight. That said, he has serious limitations. Unless he has drastically improved his skills and ability to deliver his power shots, he will have nothing more than a punchers chance against the best guys at super middleweight. And even then, that puncher's chance is very, very small.

This guy just doesn't learn . . . still "cocky' and "arrogant" as ever. :-(

He just came from a humilating K.O. loss and haven't fought at this division and he is already talking about the belt holders fighting him? :patsch

Look at it from the bright side, he will hopefully soon fight a top 7 SMW, and I will definately not feel bad for the cocky loudmouth when he gets KO'd badly.:yep

I even agree with Black for once, if Green fought Miranda again he would KO him.:D

If everything goes according to plans. He will most likely fight Jean Pascal next summer.
