"Everyone saw what Pavlik did to me. This fight with Kessler will be 10x worse. But I'm a glutton for punishment. BTW, anybody got a dead squirrel on 'em? Its almost lunchtime."

 

Well - Miranda is far from warmed up yet...

It basicly says that Kessler hasn't fought anybody with any kind of boxing exspiriense and that Miranda thinks he'll have to hit Kessler three times then he will go down.

He then goes on to say that he'd beat Calzaghe - as all english boxers are cowards. And says he'll fight Kessler anywhere even in his room.

He then goes on to say that beating Kessler will make him worldchampion.




As you can see he has really done his homework:

1. Kessler hasn't faced boxers with boxing exspiriense - Kessler has beaten: 4 former Worldchampions and two reigning

2. Calzaghe is english - he is from Wales

3. When I beat Kessler I'll be worldchampion - Kessler isn't worldchampion

4. All english boxers are cowards - well no argument there

But far from Miranda's usual "style" - Kessler wasn't even called gay - neither was Calzaghe...

 

Hahaha Miranda always cracks me up. If only he spoke english.

 

Kessler is a gentleman so you will never hear him say these sort of things. But I'm sure it'll only motivate him even more - and that spells T R O U B L E for Miranda.

 

I hope not ... that's is the general idea with shittalk - to get the other fighter angry so he doesn't fight "smart" ... if Kessler fights "smart" then Miranda will be beaten with relative ease - If Kessler goes for a "fight" then Miranda has a chance.

But Kessler didn't take notice from Mundine's shittalk nor from Calzaghe's ditto - although either is in Miranda's normal league, when it comes to shittalk. And Mundine wasn't his normal self in the shittalking department prior to the Kessler-fight - neither have we heard him calling for a rematch

 

The Colombian boxer Edison "Pantera" Miranda will probably by Mikkel Kessler's next opponent, and he does not expect the bout to go all 12 rounds.
"I just need to hit him 3 times, then he will be finished" Miranda says to TV2, before he corrects himself and says that one hit maybe is enough to knock out Kessler.
Miranda thinks he knows his opponent well, and he does not think that Kessler has met any boxers of really high class earlier in his career.
"I think he is a really good boxer, and I have seen hime fight a lot of times, but he has fough "no-name"-rivals without any special career behind them, the only one of importance has been Calzaghe" Miranda says, who by the ways doesn't fear Calzaghe, who beat Kessler in a championship bout in Cardiff last autumn.
"If I was to fight Calzaghe I would win ... English boxers are cowards" as the assesment goes from 27-year old boxer, who has taken care of himself since he was 9 years old, and had several hard jobs in his yourth before he became a boxer.
Maybe because of that, he will not fear a fight with Mikkel Kessler, and he does not worry about where the fight will take place.
"I'll fight him anywhere - I will fight him into his own bedroom" the "Panther" says, who counts on eating the little "viking pussycat" in the expected bout the 24th of May.

What does a fight against Kessler mean for your career?

"It would mean a lot, because by winning over Kessler I will be world champion, so it will be a big triumph for Edison Miranda, even though I already have had many triumphs in my career. But a potential triumph in the next coming bout is always the most important"
27-year old Miranda has won 20 bouts out of 32. De two losses was both a middleweight, but the Mikkel Kessler fight will be Super Middle Weight

Haha, let´s get the pre fight hype up and going! Miranda sounds like he has got humour, you gotta give him that.
On Danish TV they asked him if he is afraid of Kessler. He said, "I´m only afraid of Jesus Christ", and laughed.
